We went for a three hour tour and one hour into the trip, one of our tires went flat. The tire had obviously had a previous flat and been fixed with a filler, and melted on the hot pavement. The guide, who was very nice and knowledgeable, did NOT know how to fix a flat. She did not have any tools with her so we could fix the tire. No one came to help. We walked to find someone to fix it, and waited, leaving just enough time to get back before our guide needed to lead another tour. iBikes charged us for the, reducing the fee by 10% so “we could buy a drink”. Had they sent a knowledgeable guide who could fix the tire, or provided tools so we ourselves could have fixed the bike, or sent a replacement bike, it would have been perceived as a professional company, but I would strongly recommend using a different provider. I learned a lesson: ask if there is a plan to resolve the issue of a flat tire or other problem with a bike before selecting a company to tour with. Paying the 90% was greedy and unprofessional by the business owner, on top of not being prepared to care for his clients.
