Shems is an amazing guide and we loved his tour. He brought a unique perspective that made the experience even more memorable. What we really liked was how he explained Osaka through both its history and mythology. The mix of facts and stories made it a really interesting way to learn about the city, and we ended up picking up a lot we wouldn’t have otherwise known. The tour also took us to a few different neighbourhoods using the metro, which was a nice way to see more of the city beyond the usual areas. Shems is super knowledgeable, incredibly personable and easy to talk to. It was clear that he really wanted us to enjoy our tour - and we very much did! The tour was relaxed, informative, and genuinely fun. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Can't recommend Shems highly enough!
Our guide, Shems, was very knowledgeable regarding the folklore and history of Osaka. He introduced us to both the old and the new Osaka with wit and wisdom.
The walk through the city is so peaceful and scenic, the views of Osaka Castle are stunning and our guide Shems knew the best spots for pictures. He was also very knowledgeable of the history and legends. Definitely wear comfy shoes.
Our guude took us to Osaka's most famous spots as we discovered the local history and folklores. I had a lot of fun learning about Japans culture through the lense of a local. As a bonus, we even got some insider tips on where to drink and dine.
We loved the tour. Shems was a great guide. We learned so much, not only about the value but Japanese history and daily life. He showed us several areas we wouldn't have found on our own, including places to eat He even taught us how to use the subway and ticket system. We highly recommend this tour.
Kin is a great tour guide. He’s very knowledgeable. His folklore stories and legends are very interesting and he provides a cultural and historical context. He speaks a number of languages and is familiar with other cultures which allows him to connect better with foreign tourists as well well as Japanese. He can also have a food tour. He’s very knowledgeable in the typical to Osaka dishes including the food market and restaurants.
