One might think that a guy originally from Nebraska giving a tour In Kyoto may not provide the best guided walking experience. One would be wrong in this case. Michael is an excellent guide. He has taught social studies in Japan for a number of years and he exudes joy in sharing his knowledge of the local culture to tourists like us. He's a natural teacher, funny, informative and is able to relay history clearly to our group which includes a wide age range. Our guide was Caleb and there was another guide in training with us. The girl who was in training was in total awe of Caleb his knowledge of history, tradition and the Japanese culture was astounding. So in between seeing the shrines and Forest we were truly educated. Highly recommend.
