We loved the astronomical tour! It was an experience that exceeded our expectations. The sky was perfect and the astronomy class with Franco was great. Diego, the photographer, was wonderful and very attentive throughout the tour. From the first contact for the reservation to the end, we were very well served. Certainly, one of the most special experiences of our trip to Atacama! 🌌

Absolute must-do in Atacama! The guides at Anderstellar are super knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and great at making complex astronomy fun and easy to understand. We loved peering through the high-powered telescopes, learning about Andean constellations, and warming up by the fire with drinks and snacks. The night portrait they took of us with the stars in the background was the cherry on top. Don't miss this!

We had booked the astronomical excursion at Hostal Belén. Although we expected it to be pretty, it turned out to be much prettier and more endearing than we could have ever imagined. Diego and Franco not only shared astronomical knowledge and a vision of the religion and culture of the indigenous peoples of the area with us in a charming and easy-to-understand way, but they also, with some fantastic photos of the sky, ensured that we never forget this encounter with the Atacama Desert and the beauty of the southern starry sky, all accompanied by a delicious night buffet presented in a very nice and careful way.

One of the most pleasant and beautiful experiences in San Pedro de Atacama, being a Lickanantay woman I had the opportunity to accompany my Swiss friend on this wonderful astronomical tour, from the beginning the assistant Soledad was very kind, Franco was also very didactic and kind with his explanations regarding both the physics of the stars and telescopes, and the Lickanantay Andean culture, it is clear that he masters leadership and knowledge of the territory very well, which is something I value as part of my roots. Diego is an excellent photographer, nice and also very kind. From the beginning they were concerned about the cold and had everything very well equipped, my congratulations to the team!
What an experience!!! I came across Diego’s Instagram ahead of my trip to San Pedro de Atacama and was blown away by his photography of the Milky Way. I reached out about a tour and the process was absolutely seamless. The day of our tour was rather cloudy, and the team was in constant contact about making sure it cleared (which it did!) before pickup to ensure we got the best experience. Franco kicked off the night off with a guided tour of the stars and it was both magical and informative. Halfway through they provided hot drinks and snacks, and then Diego gifted us with the best tangible keepsake - photos of us with the Milky Way.
