The staff are knowledgeable and friendly to both visitors and their elephants. The walk is steep at the start but levels out then goes downhill to the start point. It was a great experience to hand feed them and watch them strip banana throngs.

A small sanctuary with only 5 elephants that were rescued from riding and performing. Our guide Ponnapa was really knowledgeable and encouraged questions.

5 free-ranging elephants in a space being revegetalized, excellent initiative to explain how elephants live, eat, smell, how they have been exploited, and how they can be made freer and less hurt.
