More like an exhibition than a museum. Only two adjoining rooms with mostly panels to read. Really disappointing when you know the importance and fame of silk in Lyon. Not worth 8 dollars.

The visit led by guide Justine was very rich and dynamic, and allows us to capture the history of the Brochier family from silk weaving to new technological and textile innovations

Small, informative museum of one of the most famous silk workshops in Lyon. However, order of info boards unclear. Has worked with various couturiers. Developed gold lamé. Due to the great knowledge of yarns and weaving techniques, highly technologically advanced spin off enterprises have also emerged in recent decades. Shop with beautiful silk shawls. Located in beautifully restored Hotel Dieu, on the Rhône.
