Had a wonderful 4 hour trek thru McRitchie nature reserve and Bukit Brown. Steve was very easy to chat with and imparted plenty of history and nature facts about both areas. Would thoroughly recommend.

It is a beautiful hike with nice variations (forest, lake, old cemetry) and Steve is a great guide. He is very knowledgeable about the local cultural nuances and history, and is very passionate about nature. Highly recommended for nature lovers and hikers.
This is truly the most unique tour experience you can get in Singapore. It was great to experience a side of the country that you wouldn't usually see. Coming from the US it was amazing to actually experience a jungle environment. You start off in a really cool overgrown Chinese graveyard, and get to see some very unique graves, and Steve gives you a great background into the history and culture of the graveyard, along with the small community that still upkeeps it. It was very interesting and the Jungle aspect was truly beautiful. Truly someplace you would never see if you weren't a local that was in the know! You also get to stop by a small Taoist temple in the Graveyard, and hear some history behind it. You then make your way through 2 different nature reserve areas. They are both very beautiful! I was able to see many different plant types that Steve pointed out; ginger, banana, rambutan, starfruit, taro, and we got to see some magnificent natural "Avatar" trees (the real type that the Garden by the Bay ones are based on, which were so cool!), and some massive Banyan trees! You can make a few stop offs at some look out points that give an amazing view. We also were able to see some wildlife; monkeys (even a baby one!), some monitor lizards, parakeets, wild chickens, squirrels, etc. Steve is a great tour guide! I was solo, and honestly I'm pretty introverted and was a little nervous it'd only be the 2 of us, but he was very easy to have a conversation with! He was very knowledgeable giving tidbits on history, culture, wildlife, and plants. He also had a bunch of great stories he shared. He came very prepared and ensured we had a safe trek. We ended at Beauty World, which had a small but very tasty food centre in it. You could also stay and do some shopping at local stores if you want. I truly can't recommend this enough! I scoured the travel sights looking for an experience outside of the standard city tours, and this was the only one I came across. It is very worth it, just be prepared to walk! This is a great break from the city.

I really enjoyed the jungle tour with Steve. It was a great way to see a different side of Singapore and learn about its history, nature, and some hidden spots like an old Chinese cemetery. Steve was a friendly and knowledgeable guide and the walk was easy enough to handle with comfortable shoes and enough water. Everything was well organized, and getting there by MRT was simple. Definitely worth doing if you want something beyond the usual sightseeing.
