Love on a Mountain Top
This is a "Must do" activity in Cape Town. The views from the top are stunning with several walks to do depending on how much time you have up there. There are lots of Rock Hydrax (Dassies) lounging on the sunny rocks too. Take a drink and a bite to eat at the top and the shop is well stocked with tourist souvenirs. The queues for the attraction are very well managed and have plenty of shade and water sprays. we unfortunately happen to have booked a visit on a very windy day and the cable cars were closed for two days. When it opened again we joined the very long queue, up to 3 hours but it was still very much worth the wait.

Great Experience - Tripadvisor/Viator Ticket Issue
Significant confusion over what was the "ticket" to be used at the entrance. Finally figured it out with massive help from extremely helpful facility staff. Tripadvisor was not reachable by phone to assist with issue. Other than that, a great experience.

Pass on this one. Too many other great options in the area!
A waste of time. Really, nothing, of any value to see, but fairly expensive. Spent less than 15 minutes. Think twice before making the trip!

Table Mountain is one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, and once you reach the summit, you are surrounded by breathtaking panoramic views of Cape Town, the Cape Peninsula and the Atlantic Ocean. There are also approximately 2 km of pathways at the top, allowing visitors to explore different viewpoints and take in the incredible scenery from various angles. From the summit, visitors can enjoy spectacular views of Cape Town's city centre, Table Bay, Robben Island, Lion’s Head, Devil’s Peak and the surrounding mountains and coastline. We understand that every traveller has different interests, and we’re disappointed that Table Mountain was not what you expected. We appreciate your feedback and will certainly take it into consideration. We hope you were still able to enjoy some of the many other wonderful experiences Cape Town has to offer.

We went at midday and it...
We went at midday and it was wonderful. The weather was perfect. There was a line, but it was no more than a 1/2 hour from steps to cable mountain. Getting in the cable car is a bit challenging as they fit 60 persons. If you are short, it will be impossible to film going up and down the mountain. I did ask a staff person to video and they cheerfully obliged. We spent a few hours there and explored almost every part of the mountain. Plenty of picture worthy spots all throughout the mountain. Had I had more time in Capetown, I would have hiked one of the trials.

One of the highlights of my cape town visit
A truly amazing experience! The views from the top of Table Mountain were breathtaking, and the cable car ride was fantastic. Everything was well organised, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip.
