What a fun evening out! The food choices were great. Shane was conversational and led us to some fun spots. What a fun way to meet other couples too. Well worth the money and time spent.

What a wonderful way to experience Austin. This was our 1st trip to the city and our food tour with Taste of Austin ensured we had excellent food, a variety of cuisine. and responsive wait staff. Each of the three restaurants had its own unique vibe. No need to sort thru dozens of restaurant reviews or deal with reservations. And we got to try foods we might not have otherwise experienced. Our guide, Shane, was personable, interesting and informative. As a long- time resident of Austin, he was able to paint a picture of how South Congress has changed over the years. He also took us to some good shopping spots and made excellent recommendations for things we might want to do on our own. It was one of the best values we could have gotten for our money.

I enjoyed the locations included on the tour, but unfortunately, the overall experience did not feel worth the $100 price\. The food was just average and somewhat repetitive\. We sampled cheese spread and bread at the first stop, cheese dip and a small street taco at the second, and a meat skewer and cheese spread at the third\. At the final stop, our guide mentioned that he might not order the cheese spread because we were probably full and he didn’t want it to go to waste\. I found the comment a little off\-putting, especially considering the cost of the tour\. Our guide was friendly, but I was disappointed that we learned very little about Austin, its history, or the restaurants we visited\. Between stops, we were also taken into several stores to shop rather than receiving additional information about the area\. Overall, it was an enjoyable outing, but it felt like something I could have easily done on my own for considerably less\. Based on my experience, I would not pay $100 for this tour again\.

Our personalized food tour was phenomenal! We booked the tour for my daughter's 18th birthday with her and four friends. Shane met us promptly at the first restaurant, June’s All Day, with birthday cookies from his daughter’s bakery (that were delish, by the way. He was very knowledgeable of the restaurants, ordered the best of the best food from the menu and offered fun Austin trivia. He also took our group on some detour stops like Big Top Candy Shop and Allan’s boots, which was so much fun! He was even very attentive to a food allergy of one of the friends and made sure every server knew and ordered accordingly. This was a huge relief and help! We ended at Aba, which was super delish! We’ve always wanted to try and he was able to secure a perfect, comfy corner for our group. He even took pictures of our experience at each stop and along the way so we didn’t have to worry about that either. It was a wonderful day and we felt completely taken care of the whole tour. It’s a perfect way to spend an afternoon or evening in downtown Austin: We will definitely be booking another tour with friends in the future! Thank you, Shane!

Shane was a wonderful tour guide/host. It was clear he has a passion for good food. We enjoyed all the stops and the food was fabulous. Fun time meeting new people and getting introduced to the Austin food scene.

We had an excellent and filling three stop food tour with Shane. It was enjoyable and we got to learn a bit more about Austin history while sampling some of the hottest restaurants in town. The walking was minimal but the conversations great. Would recommend if you are looking for something to do in Austin for an evening.
