Mr Manchester shows you his city and how it’s grown
I went to Manchester Metro University yonks ago and have always had a soft spot for Manchester. I saw the walking tour offered by Ric so thought I’d go learn a bit more. Totally fascinating the way Ric presented old photos and showed comparisons of now and then and slipped back in time. Ric is so passionate about his city and very knowledgeable about architecture and how the city has grown and continues to grow. I chatted with him over a pint after the tour and he really does have some great ideas but at the same time is so grounded in the knowledge he has to go away teally understanding how stuff happens. Fantastic vfm when you think of the time Ric has spent putting this together. Everyone should do this, much more value than frittering away your money on coffee around the city, learn something and do a tour with Ric!

Incredible day out in Manchester!
I know Ric personally from a coworking space within the city centre and when he first let me know about his tours I was excited to book one! Ric was a very accommodating and helpful host from the meeting point. His amount of knowledge about the city of Manchester is incredible and the way he tells a story makes the tour that much more interesting!! If you enjoy history or a walking tour, Ric is your guy to book with!

I am in love with Manchester
It is a bit long, but the architecture is so well worth it and the tur guide is so friendly. We had my mom walk with us with her walker, and the whole time she was included and not left behind. It was an epic tour!

Manchester’s pavements can be a bit of an obstacle course at times! Great to know the architecture made it all worthwhile... and “epic” is a description I’ll very happily take!!

Fun and interesting - even as a Manchester resident!
Really enjoyed Ric's Intro to Manchester tour. I've lived in Manchester for over 20 years but its so lovely to be a tourist in your own city - so many amazing places I've walked past a hundred times but never stopped to look up!
Loads of history I didn't know, and I loved his use of old maps and photos to show what different places looked like in the past.
The tour was brought to life with a lot of personal touches as he has lived and worked as an architect in the city all his life, so some really interesting insider details!
Absolutely recommend, whether your visiting or a long time resident. Thank you for a great afternoon!

Thank you...! Exactly, at some point we should ALL be a tourist in our own city... that’s exactly what the tour is about. Manchester rewards looking up (and occasionally looking down - remember the red lenses and the manhole cover!), and I’m really pleased I could help you spot a few of its stories hiding in plain sight.

Fabulous tour of Manchester
Wonderful from start to finish. Rick was knowledgeable, funny and he made the experience a good one. I loved his passion for his city. I’m a Manc and learnt lots about my city.
