これは美しく活気に満ちたヒンドゥー寺院（またはコビル）で、障害の除去者、知恵の神として崇拝される象頭神ガネーシャ卿に捧げられています。 建築 : 複雑な彫刻と様々なヒンドゥー教の神や女神の像で飾られた、目を引くカラフルなドラヴィダ様式のゴプラム（入口の塔）が特徴。 意義 : ニゴンボの豊かな多宗教遺産を反映し、地元のヒンドゥーコミュニティにとって欠かせない礼拝の場となっています。 体験 : 中に入ると、穏やかで霊的な雰囲気を体験し、細部までこだわった芸術作品を鑑賞し、花や線香、ランプが関わる日々の儀式を目撃することができます。
⛪ 聖マリア教会（マハ・ヴィーディヤ・パッリヤ） ニゴンボは「小ローマ」として有名で、この荘厳な教会はその評判の中心です。 スリランカ最大の大聖堂の1つで、ヨーロッパの新古典主義様式とスリランカの芸術性が見事に融合しています。 建築 : 1874年から1922年にかけて建設されたこの教会は、壮大でそびえ立つファサードと巨大な円柱が特徴です。 インテリアの見所 : 最も有名な特徴は息をのむような天井で、鮮やかなフレスコ画とキリストと様々な聖人の生涯を描いた絵画で覆われている。 このアートの真にユニークなのは、天井画を地元の仏教画家N. ゴダマンネ、スリランカの文化の調和をアピール。 意義 : ニゴンボの沿岸コミュニティの根深いカトリック信仰を反映し、
ニゴンボ魚市場＆ドライフィッシュフィールド ネゴンボの魚市場は地元ではレラマと呼ばれ、混沌とした色彩と本物の地元の生活のスライスです。 島で最も大きく、最もダイナミックな魚市場の一つです。 市場 : 早朝（午前6時頃）に、漁師が獲れたばかりのマグロ、カニ、エビ、そして様々な珊瑚礁魚を水揚げするのを見るのがベストです。 活気があり、騒々しく、にぎやかな光景で、スリランカの漁業経済を生で垣間見ることができます。 乾燥魚畑 : 雨に濡れた市場のすぐ向こうには、1日の漁獲高の広大な広がり、特に小さな魚や大きく切られた小魚が、伝統的な保存方法である屋外で乾燥するために敷き詰められます。 力強い独特の香りを醸し出す畑は、青空と砂を背景に視覚的にも印象的な光景です。 このエリアは、ニゴンボの伝統的な沿岸漁業の町としてのアイデンティティの中心を示しています。
ニゴンボ・オランダ語要塞(旧要塞) ニゴンボ・オランダ語要塞は、シナモンやスパイスの交易拠点として重要な位置を占めてきたスリランカの植民地史におけるこの街の役割を示す史跡です。 歴史 : 元々はポルトガル語人によって設立されたが、その後17世紀にオランダ語人によって捕獲され再建された。 現在の状態 : ゴールの無秩序な砦とは異なり、ニゴンボの当初の建造物の多くは、近くの刑務所を建設するために19世紀後半にイギリス人によって解体された。 現在、訪問者は保存されたメインゲートウェイと壁の一部のセクションを見ることができます。 意義 : 遺跡が残るのみであるが、この遺跡からは植民地時代の建築とニゴンボの海岸沿いの立地の戦略的重要性を垣間見ることができる。
ネゴンボのオランダ語運河、正式名称ハミルトン運河は、スリランカの植民地時代の過去と地元の漁業コミュニティとの生きたつながりとなる魅力的な歴史的水路です。 この運河はプッタラムとコロンボを結ぶ約14.5キロメートル（9マイル）の区間を流れ、ネゴンボを通り、そこでネゴンボラグーンとつながっている。
アングルカラムラ寺院は、正式にはボーディラージャラーマヤと呼ばれ、ニゴンボで最も有名で歴史的に重要な仏教遺跡の一つです。 信じられないほどカラフルで華やかな建築、特に精巧な壁画や彫刻で称えられています。

Absolutely brilliant tour guide, very knowledgeable and polite. Provided ice cold water for free. Took us to some stunning churches and temples, and to the famous fish market ( be prepared for strong smells, luckily I'm from Grimsby so the smell of fish didn't bother me). The tour guide didn't pressure us or take us to anywhere we didn't want to go and even offered to take us to an ATM and a supermarket to buy rice (as my phone succumbed to the 95% humidity so needed drying out). Great value for money definitely recommended and will use again.

We really enjoyed this tour with Athula, he is very knowledgeable and he set a nice relaxed pace, we never felt rushed. We especially enjoyed the visit to the fish markets and the lagoon with all the boats. Highly recommend this tour, thank you 😀

Great tour, i saw all the sights, tour took 2 and a galf hours which was perfect. Saw all the temples, fish market, dutch fort and canals. The guide explained everything and was really friendly. I would revommend

Beautiful tour around Negombo with very friendly driver . We visited a church. A Hindu temple and a Buddhist Tempel as well as the fish market, the Saturday market , Dutch Fort and the dry fish area.
