The safari tour was genuinely enjoyable overall. They picked us up directly from the hotel at the stated time, and communication throughout the day was very good. Our tour leader, Kerem, was excellent in terms of language skills and explained everything clearly and understandably. We have some unforgettable memories from the tour, and the staff genuinely tried to help us at every stage. The meal provided was more than sufficient as a meal and was fresh. Free drinking water was also available, which was appreciated. However, there were also some negative aspects. At the Bedouin village, there were very long stories and explanations about the “natural products,” even though nobody had asked for this information. It felt mainly like a sales presentation. The products were also around 7–8 times more expensive than in the city center. The timing was also not ideal. These explanations took quite a long time under the intense midday heat, which made the experience unnecessarily tiring. We were also repeatedly encouraged to rent sand goggles. Almost everyone eventually rented them, but in our experience they were completely unnecessary. It felt like an unnecessary €5 expense that guests were being persuaded to make. Another issue was the photographer. During the buggy and quad activities, there were unnecessarily long stops in the middle of the desert, apparently so the photographer could take pictures of everyone. This took quite a lot of time out of the tour. At the end of the day, the photographer asked for €20 for the photos taken during the tour. Almost nobody bought them, which was understandable. Overall, there was a noticeable amount of pressure throughout the day to spend extra money on additional products and services. The evening entertainment was also quite short, lasting approximately 20 minutes. However, the Tanoura performance was enjoyable, and the fire show was excellent. Overall, we had a good and memorable safari experience, especially thanks to the tour leader and the staff. However, the experience would be significantly better if there were less pressure to make additional purchases, shorter sales presentations, and less time spent on unnecessary stops.
