We had a stop in Nagasaki during our recent Japan cruise and were fortunate enough to secure Nagasaki Highlights Private Half-Day Tour by Tram tour. Our guide was Yuri and she messaged by WhatsApp to introduce herself. We met her at the cruise terminal and enjoyed our informative day learning much about Nagasaki. The excursion was well-paced and very educational. We explored Nagasaki extensively and had time to stop for a taste of local food. We appreciated Yuri’s warmth and hospitality as she shared her interesting family history which made Nagasaki much more personal. We also appreciated her politeness and courtesy when dealing with other tourists attempting to monopolize her time inappropriately as she handled it very professionally. She got us back to the terminal with ample time remaining and although we did exceed the time that was allotted she did not once look at the time. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Nagasaki and time spent with Yuri and would not hesitate recommending to others!

Fantastic Nagasaki excursion

Perfect tour guide for Nagasaki
The tour guide Mohamed was fantastic. He met me at the hotel on time and we then spent 4hrs travelling via trams and walking to many attractions in the city including the Atomic Bomb Museum, Peace Park, Glover Gardens, the Dutch area, Chinatown and the Bridges.

Nagasaki by street car is the way to see the city
Taking the street car was a great way to experience the local way of getting around. Andrew and Yuri showed us Nagasaki and you could tell how proud they were of the city. We really enjoyed it and would highly recommend going with them.

Wonderful guided tour in Nagasaki
A wonderful day in Nagasaki! Mari was our guide and she was fabulous!!! She was in contact days before the tour to confirm, she met us at the cruise ship terminal EARLY, and and we spent a jam packed half day in Nagasaki.

The Perfect Blend of History, Local Culture, and Genuine Hospitality Short & Punchy
Our guide Michie (and Xai) were amazing! Every detail of the tour we did was fascinating, from learning how the local tram system works, highlights of the area, and a very thorough tour and historical overview of the atomic bomb and its effects in World War II, we learned so much. We got to make an unplanned stop by a local shop that sells castella, a local sponge cake that is wonderful! Michie also got to know our family, our interests and recommended local food specialties to try after our tour ended. This tour has been one of the highlights of our first trip to Japan! I’d also like to note that Michie took time to help another small group from our cruise navigate the tram system (payment, what stop to get off on), which was so kind and generous of her to do!

Nagasaki tour
We had an amazing day with Hiro in Nagasaki. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating and gave us an incredible tour. After our tour ended he took us to a wonderful sushi place for lunch too on his own time and even went out of his way and helped us find an item we wanted in a store on his own time. His car was also very comfortable and clean.

Very informative with an exceptional tour guide
Mohamed, my tour guide was exceptionally good. He was quite versed with Nagasaki as we as Japanese culture and history. He was flexible, spoke English well, and an all round amazing tour guide.
