If you are passing through Luxor, definitely do not miss this felucca ride at sunset. Everything was perfectly organized. The guide came to pick us up directly at our hotel in an air-conditioned car, very clean and comfortable. After a ten-minute drive, we arrived at the boarding point where a magnificent, perfectly maintained felucca was waiting for us. The crew, made up of young men, was very kind, always smiling and attentive to our every need. They contributed significantly to making this outing even more enjoyable. Do not hesitate to leave them a tip at the end of the excursion; they truly deserve it. For two hours, we sailed peacefully on the Nile, using only sails, without any engine noise. The calm, the scenery, and the sunset offer a timeless moment. We also made a stop of about 30 minutes on Banana Island. On-site, we were able to see some animals, including monkeys, an alligator, ostriches, as well as several farm animals. It is a simple but fun visit, especially if you are with children. Admission costs 200 Egyptian pounds per person, but upon leaving, everyone receives about 1 kg of freshly harvested bananas. Ultimately, it comes out to almost the price of bananas in Europe, which makes the experience quite original and pleasant. And the best part of it all: we paid barely €40 for five people, including private round-trip transfers. For a service of this quality, the value for money is simply exceptional. An authentic, relaxing, and perfectly organized excursion. It is without a doubt one of the best memories of our stay in Luxor. I recommend this experience 100% to anyone who wants to discover the Nile in a different way.

My niece and I enjoyed ourselves so much on our first evening cruise that we then went three additional nights in a row. We simply could not get enough of such a unique, memorable and rewarding experience if seeing the Sun set over the Nile, all sorts of wildlife in and out if the water, the great food, the clear starlit skies up above, and the company of such a friendly captain and crew. In short, my niece and I became addicted to the experience.
