Our Portugal tour booking company booked this for us and we did not know what to expect. We were blown away by the experience we had with Rui and A’Patricia. Although they have recently stepped out on their own, they operate like they have had their business for years. Friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and they try very hard to make the experience memorable.
We would highly recommend Port Sailors for an unforgettable experience on the Douro in Porto/Vila Nova de Gaia.

Overloaded boat, and free drink means 1/3 of a wine glass.
They say the boat is "capped at 10", well we had 13. No snacks. One free drink, with about a 50ml pour. After that they were going to charge me. Would not go back.

You seem to have reviewed the wrong boat... anyway, thank you for taking the time to write this review, and show the differences between boats in Porto.
We’ve checked our booking records and can’t find any reservation matching your name, and the experience you describe simply doesn’t match ours.
Our boat is capped at 10 guests, and never, ever, we had more than 10 guest aboard. Snacks are included and served with the welcome drink in every tour and the drinks policy is clearly explained in the initial briefing. So, "13 people, no snacks and a 50ml “free” drink"? That definitely wasn’t us!!
We’re genuinely sorry you had a disappointing experience, anyway, you’ve now discovered, that is important to choose the right boat and the right company for your experiences...

Sunset Wine Charcuterie and Great Hosts
What a fantastic evening spent on Rui and A’Patricia’s beautiful sailboat. We were a group of 4 but the boat has plenty of room for 8 comfortably. They were the absolute best host/hostess!! The wine, charcuterie board and conversation exceeded expectations and the sunset was amazing. The boat was immaculately clean and very comfortable. If you are in Porto this is the couple to see the sunset without a doubt!

What a lovely thing to read, thank you so much. Evenings like yours are exactly why we do this: four guests, no rush, the charcuterie board out as Porto turns golden, and the conversation carrying us down the Douro towards the Atlantic.
Patrícia and I are especially glad the boat felt comfortable and cared for. Our sailboat is kept for small groups precisely so no one has to share the sunset with a crowd.
You'll always have a place aboard when you're back in Porto.

Highly recommend this trip!! Book it!!
The sailboat was beautiful and the experience was so relaxing! The crew was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying the trip! It was just our group on the boat that made it extra special!

Travelling the Adventure
I didn't know what I was gonna find. They were super gentle and guided the whole process which allowed us to have a trip adapted to our needs and thus overcome expectations. Very friendly environment. I'll be back.

Lovely romantic walk!
I had the pleasure of enjoying a ride for two in a beautiful and comfortable sailing boat!
We were well received and welcomed! And even though we had the Port Sailors team present, we had privacy in our romantic moments like watching the sunset. I felt safe and comfortable all the way!
I recommend!
