Between Traditional/Modern and Animated music, a rewarding experience
Incredible family experience, an intimate moment in small committee. We loved the welcome and the discovery of a Japanese instrument accompanied by violin. The musicians played wonderfully well.
We highly recommend the experience!

This experience was one...
This experience was one of my highlights in Kyoto, I've had the chance with my friend to attend this amazing music moment, with artists that have been training since childhood playing instruments they love, they are so good! We also shared an unforgettable moment with the family over a tea ceremony. Do not hesitate to go, it's worth it!

I can't believe the timbre of the koto and violin fit so well.
It was held at a facility called Midori no Yakata in a corner of Umekoji Park. The tones of the koto and violin met to create a new and pleasant harmony.
There were anime theme songs and game music, and it was a concert that people could enjoy.
There was also a koto experience corner, and it was very good to see foreigners who were new to the craft looking happy.

Best Location and Japanese Culture Experience
A duo performance of koto and violin in a Japanese-style room overlooking the garden. There was also a musical instrument experience and I enjoyed it for 60 minutes. We also had matcha and sweets and had a relaxing and enjoyable time ♪

Koto experience
「琴」の演奏と体験の両方を楽しめる貴重なイベントです。初めて参加しましたが、基本的な知識も学べて良いです。体験後には琴の魅力が分かり、質問もできるので理解が深まりました。
It has been a unique and interesting event to see and taste koto. Ideal for beginners as foreign visitors or I have learned the basics and had a couple of time to ask too! maybe it will be a good experience even if it rains in Kyoto
A rare and interesting event where you can watch and try playing the koto with a professional koto player. Great for beginners—you can learn the basics and deepen your understanding by asking questions.

Beautiful Koto concert
We were allowed to experience a small concert with Koto and violin at the Tea House Labo. The musicians have created a touching atmosphere. What was great was that we were allowed to try the Koto ourselves after the concert.
Thank you for this special opportunity.

Amidst a breathtaking backdrop, the harmony of the koto and violin created a truly luxurious and unforgettable hour.
Not only did I enjoy the performance, but I was also warmly welcomed by the staff and had the rare opportunity to try playing the koto myself, an experience both precious and memorable.
To finish, I was served matcha, making it a wonderful time filled with Japan’s beautiful culture and heartfelt hospitality.
