We visited Dendera Temple today with Ereen and had a fantastic experience. She and our driver picked us up from our hotel, and from the moment we set off, she made the journey interesting by sharing her knowledge of ancient Egyptian history. We had already visited several historical sites around Luxor over the previous days, but our previous guides had not shared nearly as much detail. Ereen taught us so many new things, explaining the differences between the hieroglyphs at Dendera and those we had seen at other temples. At the temple itself, she brought the stories depicted in the carvings to life in a way that was both fascinating and easy to follow. What stood out most was her ability to make history genuinely interesting without overwhelming us with facts. She is incredibly knowledgeable, speaks excellent English and is very friendly. We also really appreciated her honest advice about the optional entrance tickets. She clearly explained what was and wasn’t worth paying extra for, allowing us to make our own choices without feeling pressured to spend more. Overall, Ereen made the excursion much more than just a visit to another ancient temple. Her knowledge, enthusiasm and personal approach made it a memorable experience. We would definitely recommend her to anyone planning a trip to Dendera!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience visiting Dendera Temple with our guide, Ereen! She was without a doubt the best guide we’ve had during our trip to Egypt! Ereen is incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and extremely knowledgeable about ancient Egyptian history. Her English is excellent, very clear and pleasant to listen to, and she has an amazing talent for explaining history and telling stories in a way that really brings everything to life. What impressed us most was that we had already done several other tours in Luxor, but Ereen still managed to teach us so many new things! Even during the car ride, she shared fascinating stories and additional historical details about temples and places we had already visited. We honestly learned more from her explanations than we expected, and she gave us a much deeper understanding of ancient Egyptian history. Dendera Temple itself was also absolutely beautiful and incredibly impressive! The remarkably well-preserved decorations, stunning ceilings, and original colours make it a truly special place to visit. One useful tip for other visitors: there are two optional extra tickets available at the temple. However, Ereen showed us the famous “lightbulb”-like carvings from another accessible area, so we didn’t need to purchase the additional ticket for those. The other ticket mainly gives you access to an additional rooftop area, which is only really necessary if you specifically want to stand on top of that part of the temple. We felt we had a fantastic and complete experience without either extra ticket, thanks to Ereen’s excellent guidance and explanations. Overall, we genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The temple was breathtaking, but Ereen made the visit even more memorable with her knowledge, kindness, and passion for Egyptian history. We cannot recommend Ereen highly enough! If you have the opportunity to book a tour with her, absolutely do it. She is truly the best!

Our visit to Dendera Temple was spectacular, the carvings and colours were amazing. Mo our incredible tour guide was fantastic explaining all about the zodiac, electricity, lighting, how the Romans changed things and showed us the Temple underneath, totally fascinating.

A great day to visit Dendera and Abydos. An early start to avoid traffic and lots of bumpy road on the express route Knowledgable guide and competent driver. Good weather. Read up on the history to appreciate these temple.
