I can never express how much my husband and I enjoyed this experience. We fell in love with this breed of horses! The views were truly magical and the guides were phenomenal. I was celebrating the end of chemotherapy and the guides/owners made sure it was a perfect experience. I cried when it was over because of how truly caring these people were. I’d rate this a million on a scale from 1 to 10.

Fantastic Tour!
This was an amazing private tour. The horses were so friendly and cooperative and our tour guide was the owner of the horse ranch himself. We had a wonderful time!

Wonderful experience
This was wonderful. We did the evening ride. It was gorgeous at sunset in late August. Our guide who is the owner of the farm was informative, helpful, and took excellent photos. He also explained a lot of Icelandic history, weather patterns and information about his trade. HIGHLY recommend. He raises beautiful horses, the dogs on the farm are obsessed with him, and it was truly magical.

Incredibly beautiful! Highly recommended.
It was an incredibly beautiful experience to go on an excursion on the backs of Icelandic horses. The nature of Iceland is dreamlike. The animals were so balanced and calm. A girl from Hamburg led us. She was super nice and explained everything to us in detail. Many thanks for the great tour. The 4 of us were very enthusiastic! Gladly again and highly recommended.

Very fun and so cool to learn!
Had an incredible horseback riding experience and got to learn so much about Icelandic horses too! Highly recommend this for anyone or any families looking to have an awesome time in Iceland!!

Great experience with the horses
Truly a unique experience to be on a family farm and enjoying the scenery while riding their beautiful horses.
We arrived in Akureyri on a cruise ship. It’s a short drive to the farm - 20 minutes or so. Purchased transportation from them which made it convenient for us. The other riders were enjoyable and everyone had a great time.

Great excursion!
The staff was so sweet and helpful and made everyone feel comfortable! The kids loved the horses and the scenery was beautiful and it was a worthwhile experience for all! We just called a taxi from our cruise ship to the excursion.

Authentic and friendly
Great experience with Auðbjörn and AK Hestaferðir. I got a private lesson for my 3-year-old daughter. Authentic and friendly approach - felt very safe and taken care off. I highly recommend this tour for younger children with little/no horse experience. Thank you Maren, our Horse today.
