Fabulous/ Outstanding/ Memorable/ Amazing/ Beautiful/ Relaxing/ Exhilarating/ Comfortable/ Tailored/ Fun and wish we could do it all again! Mario is not only a fantastic skipper but he is also a naturally relaxed host. He took us to gorgeous places where we were able to enjoy the scenery, swim in lovely safe spots and go ashore to enjoy the great restaurants and bars. His knowledge of the waters around the islands and his ability to single handedly sail his beautiful Cardea was clear from the outset. We felt very much at ease, even on rougher days. He also gave a wee spin on the wheel! Mario welcomed us onboard and made us feel at home. He took some time away to give us some space but he has an uncanny ability to appear when you need him. He is really good company and has a brilliant sense of humour. He is very much like an old friend you just met. He quickly noticed that Grandma needed help getting over the gangplank. He was immediately on hand and confidently escorted her across. He also knows everyone, which can be extremely helpful at times! We would love to sail with Mario again and hope perhaps that one day we will. For now this trip was a once in a lifetime experience with our family that we will treasure. It was made all the more special thanks to Mario and Cardea. Thanks from all of us Mario!!

An unforgettable week of sailing on the Croatian coast – absolute recommendation! ⛵️🇭🇷 We, two adults and four children (between 9 - 17 years old), had a wonderful week on the sailboat in Croatia and could not have imagined the trip any better! From start to finish, it was a perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, dreamlike bays, and a lot of fun! A very special highlight was our skipper, Mario. He was not only absolutely competent professionally and made us feel very safe at all times, but also incredibly likable, relaxed, and attentive. He always had the right mix of professionalism, humor, and good spirits and knew exactly when we needed a quiet bay, a beautiful anchorage, or the perfect spot for swimming. 😊 The route was fantastic, and we discovered beautiful places and bays that we probably never would have found on our own. Every day there were new highlights – crystal-clear water, dreamlike sunsets, delicious food, and that very special feeling of freedom on the sea. But what really made this week extraordinary was the atmosphere on board. Our skipper Mario, with his positive and easygoing manner, contributed significantly to us feeling comfortable from the very first moment. The children learned a lot from him, as he involved them in daily activities! A week that went by much too quickly and definitely cries out for a repeat! Many thanks to Mario for this beautiful and unforgettable time – we would love to come back! 100% recommendation! ⛵️🌊☀️🇭🇷

Our two families (9 people; 4 adults and 5 young children) spent an amazing 4 days with Dubrovnik Sail Away onboard the Cardea, experiencing Croatia and the Dalmatian Coast for the first time.  To say this was a trip of a lifetime would be a huge understatement.  The sailing yacht Cardea was extremely comfortable, with 4 large cabins and multiple toilets, a fully equipped kitchen and shaded cockpit seating area for our entire group to relax and take in the beauty of the Adriatic Sea; making for a wonderful experience for our multi-day sailing adventure.  The highlight of the whole trip was getting to know Skipper Mario.  Mario was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area, while also being very patient and kind to our young children.  He took care of all the bookings for moorings and restaurants every evening, while also being flexible and allowing our input on the itinerary each day.  We were able to explore small coves and harbors for swimming, snorkeling and paddle boarding each day, away from the busy summer crowds. Mario was always willing to allow our water-loving kids one more dive into the crystal clear waters before pulling up the anchor in search of the next swimming spot.  The small villages we stayed in were picturesque and the food was exquisite.  We came to Croatia knowing little about this beautiful country and now we cannot wait to come back.  We will absolutely be back soon… and when we do, it will most definitely be to sail again with Mario and Dubrovnik Sail Away on the Cardea.

We recently completed a four-day sailing cruise and loved it. Our skipper, Mario, was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we stepped aboard. He took us to beautiful bays, charming towns, and crystal-clear anchorages, and there was plenty of time for fun swimming stops and paddle boarding in the calm waters. The sailboat was beautiful, comfortable, and the trip was well organized while still relaxing. A fantastic way to experience the Dalmatian coastline… we would gladly book again and highly recommend!!

4 days, 3 nights, and I would have ecstatically done it all over again immediately! A beautiful and perfectly appointed sailboat, a skipper who loves to sail, and arguably some of the most beautiful beaches and charming villages in the world. Sailing in Croatia is truly a bucket list experience and am so grateful to have found Dubrovnik Sail Away. I hope to return as soon as possible!

We spent three days on the sailboat with Mario, and it was absolutely amazing. The boat is fantastic, incredibly spacious, and has everything you need for a perfect vacation. Mario is hands down the best skipper you could ask for – professional, laid-back, and he made sure we had the best time. If you’re thinking about booking, just do it. Highly recommended, and we can’t wait to come back!

We had an amazing time on this sailing trip and honestly it ended up being one of the best parts of our vacation. The boat was beautiful, very comfortable and perfect for a relaxing day at sea. Mario was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and he created such a fun and easygoing atmosphere throughout the whole trip. We stopped at some stunning spots for swimming and the views along the coast were absolutely incredible. Everything was very well organized but still felt personal and relaxed, which made the experience even better. You can really tell they enjoy what they do and care about making sure everyone has a great time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Dubrovnik and looking for a memorable day on the water. We would happily book again!!

I experienced a few days on this beautiful private sailing yacht that felt like a true escape. Time slows down and the experience unfolds at its own pace. Definitely no rush, no pressure, only the joy of being on the water. Cardea is such a beautiful Jeanneau 53 in excellent condition. Stylish, spacious, and finished with real attention to detail. Comfort is clearly a priority. Everything on board feels thoughtful and well balanced. Skipper Mario is so experienced, brings calm and genuine care. He shares local knowledge about the area, coast and sea, in a natural way, adding depth without interrupting the flow. Safety is constant and reassuring. The trip was so well organised and always under control. Present throughout the entire stay. The hospitality on board is amazing. Warm, attentive and effortless. Every detail feels considered.
