Simon was amazing, he explained the history behind the capitols and the drive was easy. Gave us enough time to explore the cities and enjoy the rich culture.

Amazing experience, very long day (7am-9pm ish) but worth it. Driver doubled as tour guide and walked us around to give info on locations, took pics (enthusiastically, angle 📐, lighting 👍), and very nice. Simone (I think is the name) opened the car door and was a gentleman. I got a small group of 4 so it was a nice experience, we had lunch together, and I checked off my 20th country visited 🥳

Ignore the 12 hr time it actually takes 16-17 hours The driver was very good he drove as fast as he could and was very informative Budapest was great . Bratislava we did not reach until 0800 it was my dark but we got some night shots. After being showed around Bratislava we were told we had 2 hrs free time.however all aboard stated we wanted to get back as around 12 midnight. We travelled down on a mini bus and we had to the 2 seats next to the driver. Which give us less room than you get on cheap airlines.

The trip was very educational and Simeon made it enjoyable. It's a long day to cover briefly both Budapest and Bratislava, but worth the time to see the highlights of these locales and taste some local cuisine.

Great day exploring Bratislava and Budapest! The vehicle was very comfortable, and though it was a long day, there were stops throughout and so many interesting sights. The guide was very friendly and accommodating, asking for any requests the day before. It provided a wonderful opportunity to see these capital cities, and I look forward to returning to Budapest to see more!

Recently we have taken this tour, and Simon was our tour guide. We were very impressed with his behavior, knowledge and punctuality. He was professional and explained in detail in very good English.

It was a wonderful trip. Simeon was a terrific guide! He was knowledgeable and very compassionate about his love for his area. We so appreciate that he shared his knowledge with us. I would highly recommend this trip and Simeon as a guide. In particular, he was very good at connecting past historical events with present day situations. For instance, he wove together Hungary’s past of being conquered by the Austrians, Germans, and Russians to his present day political, economic, and social environment. I learned a lot. 10/10!

Our trip covered a lot of time and distance, but our guide Simeon was excellent in keeping us informed at all stops with interesting information and hence, the day didn’t seem to “drag on”. We enjoyed both Budapest and Bratislava equally A very good day 👍

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this experience. The driver and “host” were pleasant people. However, the host functioned more as an additional passenger on a road trip and said very little the entire day. You mainly are paying for transportation alone and that is it. I learned there is a BIG difference between a “host” and a “guide”. To be fair, the fact we had a host and not a guide was called out when we were contacted to confirm our pickup time. We were told the host is a local person who can share information about Budapest and Bratislava from a “local perspective”. This did not happen. If you want a tour that provides some interesting information about the towns you are visiting, this is NOT the trip for you. You may save money by choosing a boat ride or a train and have a better experience. That said, Budapest and Bratislava were beautiful and definitely worth a visit! My husband and I always enjoy exploring new cities and have used Viator many times through the years. This is the first negative review I am ever leaving. Please know I do not do this lightly. I am sharing information I would have liked to have had before booking this experience. This way travelers may have a better idea of what they are paying for before booking. Regardless, I hope it helps.

Excellent experience visiting 2 beautiful capitals, long hours in the SUV, but worth the experience.Host, Guide and Driver Simon shared great history, culture, stories about the countries and lifestyle there. 5 stars!
