Ibrahim and his tour company Red and Green Travel did an amazing job. Pickup was on time. Drop off was flexible and they even dropped me off to meet up with my other tour group. Experience was great. Same with any other with a different view and for less than half the cost.

A memorable experience. The driver met us on time and arrived to the balloon set up location. It was so interesting to see how they set up the balloon. The pilot and co-pilot took the safety of the balloon and people very seriously. I will never forget the gentle rise in the air and also landing!

There was no issue with the balloon ride, it was the Viator description that was the problem. The location pin showed it started near Goreme. It wasn’t. The description said we’d see the fairy chimneys. We didn’t. It said 4.30 pick up. It was 3.30. It said 3 hours. It was over 7. We don’t know the geography of Cappadocia and assumed from the description that Ilhara Valley was very close to Love Valley (which was in the description) and we’d never have booked this trip if we’d known it wasn’t.

The Viator listing offers two separate balloon flight options: Göreme Valley and Ihlara Valley, and the descriptions specify the different flight areas and experiences. The Göreme Valley option includes the landscapes and fairy chimneys around Göreme, while the Ihlara Valley option clearly states that the flight takes place over the Ihlara Valley canyon. At the time of booking, the Ihlara Valley option was selected. We understand that Cappadocia’s geography may not be familiar to visitors, but the two options and their respective descriptions are provided separately on the booking page. Therefore, the difference in location and scenery was not a change to the booked service; the flight was operated in the Ihlara Valley as selected. Regarding the pickup time, your hotel was located in Ürgüp, so an earlier pickup at 3:30 AM was arranged for the Ihlara Valley flight, and this pickup time was communicated to you one day in advance. We always do our best to provide our guests with the service they have booked. We started on one side of the valley and landed on the other. Amazing views and the captains were excellent in flying and telling us about the history of the area. Definetly a must try!

Very poor experience. There was something clearly wrong and nothing was communicated to us. The flight was not a sunrise flight. Took off well after sunrise.

We would like to clarify that on the morning of your scheduled flight, the Civil Aviation authorities temporarily placed the balloon flights on hold due to strong wind conditions. Since passenger safety is always our highest priority, we are required to strictly follow the decisions and instructions of the aviation authorities. Unfortunately, this delay was beyond our control and resulted in the scheduled sunrise flight being missed. Weather conditions and official flight restrictions are an unavoidable part of hot air balloon operations, and flights can only proceed when the conditions are considered safe by the relevant authorities. We sincerely regret the disappointment this caused and appreciate your understanding.
