グランドパレスは1782年、ラーマ1世が即位し、新王朝を建国した際にバンコクの建国とともに建設された。 グランドパレスは、かつて州のパラジウムであった場所として非常に重要です。 絶対王政の官制において、王室の住居と国の行政の中心の両方に用いられた。 現在では、宮殿は儀礼のためだけに使われている。 この宮殿の建築プランは、かつての首都アユタヤのグランドパレス（約600年前）と細部までほぼ同一でした。これは、国王がかつての都市の栄光をそのまま再現したかったためです。 ですから、完全に最初に伝統的なタイ様式で建てられました。 しかし、19世紀初頭にラーマ3世王が伝えた中国語要素と、19世紀後半にラーマ5世王が伝えた西洋建築様式など、さまざまな時代において他国の影響がタイの建築に影響を与えている。

The Grand Palace and temples were beautiful, but having Adrian there made everything much easier. He knew where to go, where to stop for photos and how to explain things without giving us too much information at once. The riverside temple was probably my favourite. A very good day overall.
Poppy was our guide for the day and she was lovely to be around. I really liked the Grand Palace, especially all the detailed walls and columns, but Wat Pho surprised me the most. The Reclining Buddha is huge when you see it up close, and the paintings inside were really interesting too. Poppy pointed out a few details we would probably have missed and also helped us find some good photo spots. Wat Arun was a nice way to finish the tour. Really happy we chose this one.
Fun way to explore Bangkok's most famous landmarks. The Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho was definitely my favorite part of the day, but walking through the Grand Palace was absolutely stunning too. Teddy kept a really comfortable pace for us, answered all our questions, and pointed out the best spots for photos. Having a clean, cool van between stops made it so pleasant!
This was a perfect length tour, exploring places like Emerald Buddha and Grand Palace and several other temples, also, our guide Poppy spoke great English, so this was a excellent day trip!
The Grand Palace was the place I was most excited to see and it was even more impressive once we got inside. Wat Pho was quieter and I really liked seeing the Reclining Buddha up close. Wat Arun was probably my favourite for photos. Poppy explained things in a simple way, gave us useful tips and knew how to move around each place without wasting time. I’d recommend this tour if you want to see the main temples in one day.
Since we were visiting Thailand, we just had to see the temples in Bangkok. My family and I chose this tour and went with Poppy friendly trip, we were really impressed, and so glad we came with Poppy. All three temples and the Grand Palace were truly beautiful. I really respect Thailand for creating such beautiful things. If anyone wants to visit Thailand and is interested in temples, we recommend Poppy.

Had a blast visiting the Grand Palace and Wat Arun with Mam. The contrast between the bright gold palace and the colorful porcelain temple by the river was awesome. The private car made getting around super easy.
Three famous places in one day and I’m so glad we had Bomb showing us around. The Grand Palace was stunning, Wat Pho had a completely different feeling, and crossing over to Wat Arun was another highlight. Bomb has a really warm personality and a good sense of humour, which made spending the day with him genuinely enjoyable. He also knew exactly what was worth stopping for and shared plenty of interesting little details along the way. If Bangkok temples are on your list, book through Poppy Friendly Trips and ask for Bomb. He’s someone I’d happily recommend to friends visiting Thailand.
We got to see the most famous landmarks and they were all so beautiful. The Grand Palace left us speechless, and each temple we visited had its own unique look and feel. Poppy was a pleasure to be with, kept things moving nicely, and helped us with anything we needed. Fantastic experience.
