The JA-Mazing Jerry does it again! This tour guide is top notch and the tour is spectacular. A beautiful, peaceful, relaxing ride down the river is a great way to start your Jamaican vacation. Try the coconut and sugar cane (and ox tail meal for an extra cost) and relax through a limestone massage. Take a few moments to swim in the river before you head back. The hour goes quick, but it is somehow just the right amount of time to learn about some of the beauty and culture of Jamaica, in the most serene way. Don't get sucked into the tourist trap large companies, this one is the best and you truly get the local experience that makes it so much more!

My sister and I went on the Bamboo Rafting & Limestone Massage Excursion in Jamaica on September 13, 2026, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We were very excited about this excursion, but things changed almost immediately after we told our raft guide that we did not have money to purchase refreshments. His entire attitude toward us changed. He moved our raft a short distance down the river, stopped, sat down, and began playing on his phone. My sister and I were left sitting in the raft watching other guests have an amazing time with their guides—listening to music, dancing, laughing, and interacting with their guests. A limestone leg massage was included in the $116 we paid for the excursion. Our guide made it very clear that he did not want to do the massage, so we initially and politely said we didn't want one. Our travel agent was also on the excursion, and her raft eventually pulled up next to ours. Her guide encouraged my sister to have the massage, and she finally agreed. Our guide was clearly unhappy about having to do it. He quickly spread the limestone over my sister's legs and was finished before our travel agent's guide had even completed one leg on another guest. The other guides were using writing sticks to create designs in the limestone mud. When our travel agent's guide offered the writing stick to our guide, he declined, sat down on the side of the raft, and went right back to playing on his phone. My sister was left feeling humiliated and embarrassed, as though she had done something wrong. No guest should be made to feel that way. I do want to give credit to the other raft guides, who noticed what was happening and came over to interact with us for a while. They were kind and made an effort to include us, and we truly appreciated that. After the massage, we were supposed to continue farther down the river, but our guide cut the excursion short and took us back instead which excursion ended our excursion early. The only explanation I can come up with is that when we told our guide we didn't have money to purchase refreshments, he assumed that meant we wouldn't have money to tip him. That was absolutely not the case. I still gave him a tip at the end, although it was understandably not as much as it would have been had we received the experience we paid for. Our travel agent witnessed the majority of what happened and has also lodged a complaint. I really wish we could have had the experience that so many of the other guests appeared to be having. We went into this excursion excited to enjoy the beautiful Jamaican scenery, relax, have fun, and make memories. Instead, we spent much of the it sitting quietly while our guide played on his phone and made us feel unwelcome.

They say it come with lime stone but when you get there we was charged additional knee down 15! So beware . Also we had been call broke Americans because we don’t want to buy food. N it do not come with food but was change at the end. N said it before

This experience was the highlight of my trip to Jamaica our driver Big Mike was so nice and accommodating he let us feel so comfortable and safe we got to take some fantastic videos and pictures, we had coconut water and the famous RUM Punch 🥊 it was punching 😆 The raft guide Derrick was also great, FUN and knowledgeable. What an AMAZING experience! This was easily one of the highlights of our trip and something we’ll definitely remember. Our driver, Mike, was professional, friendly, and got us to our excursion quickly and safely. Bones and Jay were absolutely awesome! They were so much fun, had great energy, and truly made the entire day such a great experience. They kept us laughing and made everything feel fun, relaxed, and memorable. One of the best parts was getting to enjoy local jerk chicken right on the river — it was SO good and made the experience feel even more authentic and special.
