I absolutely loved this tour with Cretan Tasty Trails! I honestly wasn’t expecting quite so much food and drink, so it was a wonderful surprise we tasted so many lovely Cretan treats and local specialities along the way. Elena was such a lovely guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable and informative, but also warm, friendly and just a pleasure to spend the afternoon with. What I particularly loved was that this was my third time in Chania, yet Elena showed me a completely different side of the city and I learned so much. It was one of the highlights of my trip. I genuinely cannot recommend this tour highly enough. If you’re thinking about booking it, just do it, you really won’t regret it! ❤️🇬🇷

Cretan food is delicious. Unfortunately, this tour really didn’t introduce us to the best. Our guide, Elena, was very knowledgeable and informative, but the food was disappointing. Later in our stay we had many wonderful meals, so if you do this tour, don’t judge Cretan food by it. We cannot recommend this tour.

We booked this food tour on our first full day in Chania to get our "food bearings" and Meleni our guide did a great job in leading us to wonderful bites and tastes, and giving us a fulsome picture of the food culture of Crete. We ended up with a delicious lunch and lots of recommendations to further explore the delicious food of this historic island.

Our guide Kostas was fabulous, very upbeat and knowledgeable about not only local food, but also local culture and history. It was a great way to spend half a day and familiarize ourselves with the city. Kostas also generously followed up and sent us ideas and tips for the next leg of our journey. We couldn't have asked for more- good food, good company and stimulating conversation!

The tour was more than you could ask for, great tucked away spots visited, very informative & knowledgeable guide, and a wide variety of Cretan foods experienced. We could not eat any more. Great value for money.

Elena, our guide for 4 hours, fully satisfied us both with her intrinsic knowledge of the region and her friendly approach. Throughout the tour, we discovered in depth the gastronomic traditions as well as the local food cultures. From bakeries to olive oil stalls, passing by dishes unknown to tourists, we leave this experience with full stomachs and the impression of now being true Cretans.

We had a brilliant day starting at 9:30 am. Our four hours with Elena were fantastic from the very first bite to the feast at the end. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, fun and helpful. Elena took us to some extraordinarily fun local favourites and taught us a lot about the food and wine and olive and other cultures of this region.

What a fantastic tour! Elaina our guide was so nice and accommodating. All the food was amazing and plentiful! Definitely come hungry!
