While the performance was not as energetic as I expected, the show provided great visuals and a look at an older side of China that is not often portrayed in a modern way.

Climatic and a visual treat, and rather majestic in the presentation.

Miss lilly was great! Very thoughtful to give us water and good information about our seats and things to see and hear on our way to the seats! The show was stunning! Would highly recommend!

Very impressive, a play of lights in n the river and surrounding mountains

At the end of the Li River cruise day (highly recommended), our Chinese guide offered to "extend" the day and go see this show. For a reasonable cost we went, knowing that the director was the same one who did the closing ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. It far exceeded our expectations; seeing hundreds of actors on a lake whose natural scenery of karst mountains in the background enhanced the mechanical set design and laser shows, recounting centuries-old love stories. We finished astonished, full of such beauty, extremely happy to have seen such a spectacle. Of course, we gave a standing ovation. More than recommended even if you are tired! MUST-SEE

A mesmerising show which lasted 70 minutes. We had excellent seats with snack and a choice of drink and most importantly undercover from the heavy rain which stopped just before the start of the show. Our guide was helpful in explaining the various sections of the show. Worth seeing if you are staying in Yangshuo.

We were brought to see this event by China Highlights on our tour in Guilin. “Impressions” was an unbelievable theatrical experience which combined the natural beauty of the river and mountains around us in Guilin, China.
