The boat experience started with a very warm welcome from the host. She ensured that our family was engaged at all times, provided us some insights into the Maiko/Geiko culture, played beautiful music, and ensured that we have a good experience throughout the one hour of the boat ride. I would definitely highly recommend this to anyone who is visiting Kyoto.
