This local wine, food and walking tour around Melnik was awesome. The owner and his partner were just great and so helpful and knowledgeable. It was great to get outside the city of Prague and see things most people can't see, The scenery was great - awesome old castle tour and the wine and food were super plentiful and very tasty and enjoyable. Overall great 8 hour experience from pickup to the end!
My husband and I went on this tour with our 3 friends. We were picked up at our hotel by Andrew and Michael. They drove us to a really cool castle in an area about an hour from Prague. It was definitely a country like setting. Beautiful drive to this castle. Once there you take 15 min hike up to the castle and then you spend an hour or so walking through and around the castle. Lots of stairs and uphill hike. So be prepared if you don't like that much activity. We did not mind it all as we love being outdoors. After the tour if the castle we drove to Melnick Castle to the winery beneath the castle. We toured the wine barrels and then had a wine tasting of 2 different wines offered by the vineyard. They were delicious. We stayed there about an hour. Then we were driven to a beautiful vineyard where we walked around and looked at the grapes and got to try them too. Next we had a great picnic that included breads, meats, cheeses, honey, nuts and smoked trout. Trout was amazing! While we were eating we were tasting wines by the vineyard through the rest of the time. We wanted to also see Andrew's collection of bees, so he took us to the forest where they were there making honey. This was a terrific custom experience. Andrew caters to you and your group individually. He gauges by listening and watching when it may be time to go to next event or to stay longer if he sees you enjoying yourself. Michael was helping with driving and was a fun guy. Both gentlemen were terrific and I would highly recommend this tour.
I did not know who (Platform or supplier) made the mistakes. The wrong driver was pickup us to incorrect destination on that day. Fortunately, Andrej did not count as "no show" and was willing to re-schedule to another day. Although some points were closed on Monday, Andrej also found alternative places to complete the journey. He was very knowledgeable about wines and helpful guide. During the tour, we saw the appearance of the castle, and he introduced how to get good photos. Besides, we also enjoyed wines and local foods. Enjoyable day and pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommendation.

We had a wonderful day exploring the Prague countryside. The tour had us wandering through beautiful forest areas, we saw Fellow deer & horses along the way while breathing in fresh country air. We experienced a sensational display of Autumn 🍂 colours, with many trees turning red & yellow at this time of year. Lunch was a delicious Aundrè offered wine suggestions to match the food which was great as I was unfamiliar with this wine region. We visited several Castles & winery’s, There was a little bit of everything on the tour making it really enjoyable. Our guide Andrè was highly knowledgeable over a broad range of topics including grapes & wine making. We enjoyed great conversations all day. Andrè’s gentle nature made the day 200% enjoyable. Importantly for me, I felt very safe travelling in the car. We Highly recommend this fabulous tour for an out of city experience. My husband & I are from Perth, Western Australia 🇦🇺
This is the real Czechia — far beyond just Prague. We experienced so many local products — authentic cheeses, wines, and homemade delicacies. And the castles were absolutely fantastic — full of history and charm, without the tourist crowds. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to discover the true heart of Bohemia!
