Disappointing
It was a very hot day and the wine store had no air conditioning so it was pretty uncomfortable. Also the the person who conducted the tasting spoke English but was very difficult to understand. He had such a strong French accent that we missed most of what he said.

Dear Lynn, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we are sorry your visit did not live up to your expectations. We will happily plead guilty on one point: our sommelier does indeed have a French accent. Here in Alsace it is a rather common condition, and one we have not yet found a cure for! Joking aside, we know that in a group setting, with several conversations going on at once, some of the explanations can be harder to follow. Please don't hesitate to interrupt our team at any time to ask them to repeat or slow down – they are always glad to do so, and a tasting works best as a dialogue. As for the heat, you are quite right. Our building dates back to the 16th century, and while its old stone walls have a lot of charm, they were never designed for air conditioning. The exceptional heatwave we experienced this September caught us off guard, and we regret not having set up fans for our visitors that day. We sincerely apologise for the discomfort. Life without a good wine is not life. Cheers!
The wine tasting was phenomenal. The sommelier explained to us about the grape varieties that are in Alsace, what kind of wines they have, etc. I enjoyed it very much.

Located close to the cathedral, this was a great experience. It was great to taste different Alsace wines from different vineyards.

Wonderful wine tasting experience in Strasbourg
We arrived at our tasting a little early and were welcomed in to try some wines from a local vintner before our official tasting began. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our tasting guide was extremely knowledgeable and the wines were excellent. Would definitely recommend this tour for people looking for a taste of local wines from the Alsace region.

Pleasant and appropriate setting for the tasting (cellar). Good teaching from the guide. a bit of disappointment regarding the choice of wines

Wine tasting
We were able to taste some wines for €10. There were two local winemakers on site who introduced us to their wines. If you buy 3 bottles, you get the €10 back. It was great!

Great tasting in the old vaulted cellar
A perfect wine tasting in the heart of Strasbourg. Lots of knowledge, delicious wines and a great atmosphere in an old vaulted cellar. Unbeatable for the price.
