⭐ A real disappointment. We felt totally deceived Our experience was really disappointing and we felt very annoyed by how the activity was managed. We were scheduled for 11:00 and arrived half an hour early. At 11:00, absolutely no one showed up. We waited until 11:10 and, upon seeing that no one in charge had appeared yet, we had to call by phone ourselves to find out what was happening. Our surprise was huge when they told us that there was no guide and that we simply had to go directly to the Catacombs of St. Callixtus and present a QR code that they sent us at that very moment. We entered without problems, but we did not receive any explanation, any accompaniment, or any type of guided tour. Then we asked ourselves: what exactly had we booked? We paid €27 per person, €54 in total, when direct admission to the Catacombs of St. Callixtus costs approximately €10 per person. That is to say, we could have gone directly on our own, bought the tickets, and saved €34 between the two of us, without losing practically anything, because in the end there was no guide or any additional experience. What causes us the most indignation is that this is not clearly explained before making the reservation. If the activity consists solely of providing a QR code to access the catacombs, it should be stated transparently, because paying almost three times more for something you can do directly on your own is completely unjustifiable. Very poor organization, zero information, and terrible value for money. We feel disappointed and consider that the activity did not meet our expectations at all. We do not recommend this experience and, certainly, we would not book it again.

There was no reply to any of my messages. To my mind this invalidates the contract and I require a refund in spite of your policy.

This was a unexpected highlight of our trip to Rome. To move from the opulence and grandeur of the architecture and the history above ground to the simplistic beauty of the catacombs was quite breathtaking. To see the frescos and artefacts within the crypts and learn the history and the sheer scale of the complex was eye opening. The guide was most welcoming and we thank him for including us
