Very interesting, as much for the variety of landscapes as for the information shared by our guide. Perfect for discovering several places and local history. As a solo traveler without a car, it was great. I particularly liked the small Middle Cove beach. I highly recommend it!

A great experience! The trip was very well organized - pickup at their convenient Water St location was prompt, the van was clean and comfortable, and the tour was well-paced, with ample time to enjoy our numerous stops. We saw absolutely beautiful scenery! Dave, our guide (a life-long Newfoundlander) is extremely knowledgeable of the region and shared a wealth of information about the history and culture of the area, with numerous enjoyable anecdotes. He was also very available to answer any questions. This tour is highly recommended for visitors who either have limited time or are unable to drive. Also, the tour stopped at locations that were generally level and no climbing was required, so it would be practical for people with minor mobility challenges.

Excellent tour. Brian ,our guide/driver was very knowledgeable and provided histories and insights to all the places we visited. Very well paced tour, we never felt rushed. Beautiful coves and beaches. Great way to see some areas outside of St.John’s.

An Outstanding Experience with Brian! We had an absolutely fantastic experience with our guide, Brian. He was knowledgeable, friendly, engaging, and made the entire tour feel both relaxed and meaningful. His storytelling brought the history and character of Newfoundland to life, and he did a wonderful job making sure everyone felt included and comfortable throughout the afternoon. The itinerary was excellent, with a great mix of local history, coastal scenery, culture, and unique stops. From learning about marine life at the Ocean Sciences Centre and walking along Middle Cove Beach to hearing the story of the Battle of Signal Hill, visiting the Flat Rock Grotto, exploring Pouch Cove, and taking in the beautiful coastline around Bauline, every stop offered something different. The tour of the Avalon area of St. John’s was excellent. The guide (Gerry?) was very knowledgeable about the city and recommended a great restaurant at the end of the tour. Great way to see the sights.

We were looking for a short and interesting tour around St. John's. We had already had good experiences with Legend Tours in other places, so my partner chose their Scenic Bus Tour of the Northeast Avalon from St. John's. Our small group of eight people from four countries (Canada, the USA, Ireland, and the Czech Republic) had probably the best guide anyone could ask for. To our great surprise, he was the former mayor of St. John's! The first stop at the Ocean Sciences Centre was great. We were able to hold all sorts of sea creatures in our hands. I wasn't afraid of the starfish, but I didn't dare to hold the large crab. The tour continued along the coast, stopping at Middle Cove Beach, then in the town of Flatrock to see Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, which was visited by Pope John Paul II. We also shopped at the only supermarket on the peninsula and stopped in a small fishing village. It was a very pleasant and relaxing tour.

Eco centre is closed on Monday so nothing to see there which was disappointing also would have like to stop at flat rock to see no just a drive past

This tour is designed as a very scenic drive along the coast with several stops in smaller communities north of St. John's. We've followed up with the guide from Monday's tour, who confirmed that the group did stop in Flatrock. This stop was at the Flatrock Grotto. The stop in Logy Bay is a year-round stop for the rugged cliffs and coastal landscape around the Ocean Sciences Centre. The building is not open to the public and while their seasonal touch tank is an exciting addition to the tour, its operating schedule is managed independently.
