We called Sunday afternoon while on the train to Berlin to try and book a private walking tour the next day. They were able to accommodate and set us up with Jorg for Monday morning. I booked a six hour tour, which could have been too long if our guide was just reading from a script. Let’s just say I didn’t look at my watch once in those six hours. Jorg was amazing. Personable, responsive to what we wanted to experience, beyond knowledgeable with a both a professional and personal background he brought to our endless questions (studied History and Politcal Science at University). I cannot complement Jorg enough. If you are coming to Berlin, I’d strongly recommend you ask for Jorg’s availability. And his recommendation after where we could try sausages and beer before heading to the hotel was spot on.

Great tour, our guide Joerg was amazing, he really knew his stuff. As it was a private tour with 4 friends, he was really great to chat with between the stops. As we were doing the tour on one of the hottest days in Germany, he also tailored our stops around shade to keep us all safe. Booked the tour after reading reviews. The tour was extremely informative but Mikey absolute made it for us. He was fun, engaging and helpful. Whereas some tours are just regurgitating facts, Mikey was excellent at explaining the different sights and clearly has a passion for what he does. The only disappointment was that we could not spend more time with him !! He was brilliant with his unique quirkiness and way of doing things . Highly recommended. He may or may not remember my Darth Vader / Guinness t-shirt lol . A great start for + 50 year old married blokes trip (3 of us) to Berlin. Many, many thanks Mikey… top bloke !!
