Honestly booking this as a private tour was the best decision. The hike up to Humantay Lake is pretty steep and at high altitude, so having our own guide meant we could set our own pace without feeling rushed by a huge group. The coca leaf ceremony at the top facing the glacier was such a meaningful, peaceful moment. Pickup was right on time at 4:30 AM and the car was clean and warm.
The private van was surprisingly luxurious and warm—a massive blessing during the freezing early morning drive from Cusco. Overall it was a great time!
