we rented 4 bikes for two hours for a family ride in Central Park. After replacing my husband's, whose chain kept coming off, we finally set off for our destination. Arrived at the park, so after a short ride, I noticed that the front tire of my bike was slightly flat, but I didn't worry, certain that the bike had been checked before delivery and instead, after not even an hour of pedaling, it was completely flat. We contacted the center, hoping they would arrive with a replacement bike, as is normal, and instead, after a full 40 minutes of waiting, they asked me to bring the bike back to the rental point. All 4 of us set off on foot and with great difficulty, since we were inside Central Park, we brought it back to the rental point. Despite the total lack of assistance from them, despite the effort of having had to push the bike with the flat tire from inside the park, as if nothing had happened they asked us if we wanted to replace the bike and restart the tour, but unfortunately we no longer had time, since in the afternoon we were busy with another activity. We tried to ask for at least a 50% refund, and instead we were dismissed with the promise that I would receive a voucher by email for another rental to use in the following days. I didn't receive any voucher, so adding insult to injury, but anyway, does this seem like the way to treat customers to you? There are other bike rental centers, we recommend you avoid Unlimited and look for something else. Regards

Booked a Hybrid bike using my Go Pass and showed only the Hybrid bikes available the morning we wanted to book it. Booking said to arrive 15-20 minutes before our 8 am reservation. Got there 15 minutes before and doors were locked, no lights. 10 minutes before 8, a guy showed up and said to wait 10 minutes. Got a coffee and around 8:05, the person arrived that handles the computer. My daughter wanted an electric bike, but he said Central Park was flat and didn’t need an electric bike. I said, ok and was surprised when he said a helmet was optional. My daughter, then was not wanting to wear it, which annoyed me that I had to argue with making her wear it. No instructions on how to use the bike or made sure the height was adjusted. We were given a map and told where to go. It has just rained in the morning and soon after riding the bike in Central Park, me and my daughter both were getting super wet on our back, all the way in our hair! There was no splash guard over the back wheel. To top it off, Central Park is not flat and was hard for my daughter and she hated every minute of it and we never stopped to take pictures or enjoy the park because of the bad experience. I have rented many bikes through different companies while traveling and this was the worse one yet. When we brought he bikes back, a lot more employees which were nice but surprised we got so muddy. Maybe none of them have actually been on a bike before.

We were concerned having read a number of negative reviews, but want to reassure people that our experience was completely fine. Great price going through tripadvisor. Loads of bikes including smaller one for our 10 yr old. All hassle free. My bike was a bit squeaky but they all worked fine - no issues with gears, brakes or tyres. My 17 year old was delighted to be able to upgrade to an electric which he loved. This was our children’s top experience in New York. We hired for 2 hrs which gave us plenty enough time to do the whole circuit round the park.

Bikes are well worn Might be better to rent a citi bike and tour Central Park with that then bikes that have gear issues. Worn tires and seats that can’t stay locked in

Rented 5 bikes to bike through Central Park with our kids. I needed 3 bike exchanges and the bike I got was clicking, the gears didn’t work well and the tires squeezed and it felt like it was going to fall apart. The workers were rude and didn’t try to help me. I ended up riding a terrible bike through the park. Would not recommend but not sure what other options there are if you have a child under 16.

Very kind and accommodating staff. The bikes worked well and the price was right. We would definitely do it again.

Traveling with 3 children, including a 10-month-old baby. I see that they do not have a baby seat at their Central Park location. I ask how it can be done and they tell me to rent one in Brooklyn. I point out that I have to bike across all of NY, which is not like crossing San Casciano! They tell me there is no solution. I ask, since there was still plenty of time, if they could have a baby seat sent from their Brooklyn location for the chosen date. They answer me that it is impossible. I do not understand what this impossibility is due to. Never again. Rip-off!

This was easy to book, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The pick up location is only a short distance from Central Park.

You’ll need atleast 5 hours and it is a work out!! It is not flat, so expect hills. The company was great but we did regret not going with the electric bikes. All in all we had a great time and came out of it with stronger legs :)
