Making a lampshade accompanied by the father and daughter who are 2 adorable characters, the tea and small cookies are a delight. Human contact as I appreciate it. I highly recommend this experience.

Master Ahmed, his daughter Mariam, Saadia and Aisha from the Complex D’Artisanal all provided a very interactive, educational, enjoyable and entertaining experience. We completed two lampshades, and two different baskets to take away. This was the cultural highlight of our time in Essaoira and we would wholeheartedly like to thank the entire team for the amazing opportunity. We gained a wonderful insight into weaving with natural materials and would 100% recommend this activity. Don’t hesitate just book it. You won’t be disappointed.

Don’t come expecting to become an expert. Come with an open heart. The true purpose lies in connecting with the local community and helping to keep this beautiful craft alive. We arrived as strangers, but we left as friends, carrying with us not just new skills, but lasting memories.

It was a unique experience to learn the traditional craft of „basket weaving“. The hosts were very welcoming and explained the steps well. The lamp was a nice keepsake. Highly recommended. The craft complex also offers further high quality products.
