まずは、2006年にユーロビジョン・ソング・コンテストで優勝したことで知られる地元の有名バンド、ローディの名前を冠した活気あるスポット、ローディ広場からスタートします。 また、広場とフィンランドの叙事詩『カレワラ』とのつながりやフィンランド神話とのつながりについても学びます。
川のそばを歩き、ユニークなデザインで知られるロヴァニエミのシンボル、ランバージャックのロウソク橋を見ます。
また、地元の遊具メーカー「ラプセット」とコラボレーションしたカラフルなアトラクション「アングリーバードパーク」にも立ち寄り、幅広い年齢層が楽しめるアクティビティーを提供します。
1950年代に完成した戦後フィンランド建築の優れた例であるロヴァニエミ教会を訪れます。 そのすっきりとしたラインは北欧の機能主義と明確にミニマルな美学を反映している。 内部は、レンナルト・セゲルストローレの記念碑的な祭壇フレスコ画「生命の源」が見どころ。
ロヴァニエミ市立図書館では、建築家アルヴァ・アールトが人間中心の建築アプローチを反映して設計したフィンランド・モダニズムの主要な作品の一つを目にすることができる。 内部は、流れるようなインテリアレイアウト、有機的なフォルム、暖かみのある素材、入念にデザインされた自然光が相まって、落ち着いた雰囲気を醸し出しています。
ラピア・ホールはロヴァニエミにあるアルヴァ・アールトの設計のもう一つの例であり、市の文化センターの要となっている。 白を基調とした印象的なルーフラインは、周囲の風景からインスピレーションを得ており、インテリアは木と光、有機的なフォルムが融合し、モダニズムと地域アイデンティティが融合した特徴的な文化空間となっている。
コルンディに立ち寄り、現代アートと歴史の重層的な融合がユニークなコルンディを探索します。 元赤レンガの郵便バス車庫を利用したこの建物は、工業的な性格と現代的な文化的利用を兼ね備えている。 中に入ると、デザインショップへ。
立ち寄るのは、印象的な木造建築で知られる持続可能な林業と北方の自然に特化した博物館ピルケ。
ユニークな建築と、北極とフィンランドのラップランドの歴史に特化した博物館と科学センターとしての役割で知られるアークティクムを通ります。 アークティクム公園では、川沿いののどかな雰囲気を楽しみます。

Great experience, we recommend it. Nina gave us the city tour with a nice walk and made us discover places that we would not have seen alone. He also took a beautiful picture by the lake which he then sent us.

Nina was a great guide and helped me achieve my goal of feelings more grounded in Rovaniemi. We had a great route taking in a variety of aspects including history, natural settings and the famous architecture. I was so impressed by the public library. What a joy! We saw the two rivers and since the tour I have been back to learn more about the war time history at Arktikum and enjoyed the art gallery. Thanks Nina!

This was a fantastic and very informative tour. The local guide, Nina, was welcoming and friendly, and she shared so many insights about culture, food, Rovaniemi architecture and the local way of life. I really enjoyed the stop at the library and the walk by the riverside. I am traveling alone and was so happy she could make a tour just for me. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
