I've done 35 food tours in as many countries, am an ex-chef, and Tony's Timeless Tour is one of the best that I've experienced. Tony loves his city (Hanoi) and has connections with old style family run generational food stops that might include in an alleyway or pho in a woman's living room, which she moves the furniture out of the way for a couple of hours each day. Twelve varied and traditional bites over three hours were very filling, ranging in variety, and connected to the people and history of Viet Nam. We especially enjoyed master Huy's coffee/tea/chocolate laboratory, but this is a food tour where though the food is very good, it is really the people chosen to represent that make it all outstanding. Very minor suggestions: we were new in country, so slowing down when talking would make things a bit more easily understood, and this is the first food tour I've ever been on where the guide did not offer or provide water, especially needed in the heat of Viet Nam. Tony took us to residential neighbourhood and down back alley that we wouldn’t have explored on our own. He also shared fascinating stories about the origin of the food, which made the experience more meaningful. It was a wonderful food tour and we highly recommended it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour, set off around 6pm and straight away was being guided down a dim alleyway up a flight of stairs and into a local spot, Tony was funny and gave really good insight into what we were eating and the culture and atmosphere of Hanoi can’t recommend it enough!

We had the most incredible food tour with Tony and would highly recommend to all travelling in Hanoi!! We ate pho in a local grandma’s living room and had coffee in a serene paradise of a cafe, despite being in the middle of the Old Quarter! Every spot was incredible and we loved all the knowledge that Tony shared with us too. Thank you very much Tony for this very memorable experience!! 👏

Awesome experience the food was sensational and Tony is a fantastic guide. He explains so much around the food, culture and local customs it was really informative. Would definitely recommend Tony and will go again on another trip to Hanoi.

Tony was absolutely incredible!! The food on the tour was authentic and fantastic, and truly gave us a taste of Vietnam. Tony knew all the best local spots - spots we never would have found if not for him. Some of the best bites on our whole trip! On another note, Tony is incredibly kind, sincere, engaging, and respectful. He has fantastic English, and beyond simply guiding us from restaurant to restaurant, taught us a lot about the local history and culture. His enthusiasm is contagious - we loved him! In my opinion, a must-have experience!!

Tony is a fabulous host and guide. Very friendly, extremely knowledgeable about local foods and took us to great places we would not have ever visited otherwise. We did the lunch tour which suited our schedule and ate amazing foods. Arrive hungry.

My favourite tour in Vietnam and easily the best food I had here. I would have never known to go to any of these places based on online research alone. Tony is also a really authentic and lovely to speak to. You will not regret picking this one.
