Thank you! With only two days in Paris, spending part of one on the city's history is a good call, and the tips for the rest of your stay are the bit we like most. Glad it was useful. Enjoy the rest of your time there.

Medieval Paris and Notre Dame.
I love Paris, especially the architecture and history associated with it. The history of Notre Dame and the symbolic signs that can be read on the façade of this building is fascinating. It was very interesting and I never thought so much politics and intrigue were hidden on the surface of these walls.
A different Paris than “Emily in Paris”.
I recommend it.

The facade of Notre Dame really is a text, and once someone shows you how to read it, the politics behind the stone are hard to unsee. Glad that part landed. And yes, this is a rather different Paris from the one on television, which is more or less the point of the walk. Thanks for writing.

That layer of Paris is right under everyone's feet and almost nobody stops to look at it. Glad you saw it. Thank you!

Highly recommended
The tour was absolutely fantastic! We had such a great time, and even our child listened attentively the whole time. Everything was perfect and right on schedule. Highly recommended, we’ll definitely be back!

Alina, a child staying attentive for a whole walking tour is genuinely the highest bar there is, so that's good to hear. Glad the pacing worked and that everything ran on time. We'll look forward to having you back!

Absolutely loved this tour!
Absolutely loved this tour! The vibe is something you simply can’t put into words. It was atmospheric, and incredibly informative, and the time just flew by. Our guide was patient, and attentive to the whole group. I learned so many interesting things and would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Paris!

The atmosphere is the part that's hardest to describe and the part we care most about. Medieval Paris is still there in fragments, and walking it at the right pace with someone patient enough to let it land is what makes the difference. Thank you for the recommendation!

Great tour!
My wife and I really enjoyed the tour with Slava! He is a very knowledgeable and engaging guide who will introduce you to the history of the city and give you plenty of useful tips for the rest of your stay. We definitely recommend this tour!

Slava knows this material well and enjoys sharing it, which is why the tips for the rest of your stay come naturally rather than as a bolt-on. Glad you and your wife enjoyed it. Thank you!

Fourth trip to Paris
This was my fourth trip to Paris and I booked it expecting a refresher. Instead I spent two hours in places I had walked past for years without going in. Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre is thirty metres off a street I've eaten on twice, and I had no idea what happened there. The part about the kings on the front of Notre-Dame — beheaded during the Revolution, buried, and dug up under a bank courtyard in 1977 — I've since checked, and it's exactly right. Pierre didn't perform any of it. He talked the way someone talks about a city they read about for their own reasons. If you already know the Paris everyone knows, this is the layer underneath it.

That's exactly what this tour was built for, and it's rare to see it described so precisely. Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre is a good example: hundreds of people walk past it every hour, and almost none go in. The Notre-Dame kings are one of Pierre's favourite stories, partly because it sounds invented until you check it. And you're right that he doesn't perform. He reads about this for himself and the tour is mostly him thinking out loud. Thank you for the kind words, and for looking it up.
