Beautiful paintings to see, many dancers, and just for the work put in by the young people, to encourage them, you have to go. A cultural approach to Buddhism and Laos, magnificent costumes, beautiful performance by the young people.

The biggest issue is that this show is improperly marketed. Had this been marketed as a high school play, and be more appropriately priced instead of $37, we would have gone in with different expectations. The entire show is basically interpretive dancing. They have plenty of beautiful costumes and the entire cast is like 40 people. All music is playback, there is no live music. We never felt drawn to leave, but you should be very aware that this is at a high school level. Its a good high school level, but still. (There were subtitles occasionally explaining what is going on, but it was on screens that were far off to the side with text moving incredibly slowly, so you couldn't watch the performance and read the text at the same time. The text also often just abruptly cut itself off so after I while I stopped reading it.) We also had the displeasure of experiencing the performance with a group of Chinese tourists. One guy behind us was literally speaking on his phone. One lady in front of us stood up several times and walked around in the rows to get a better angle to film the show on her phone. Someone else was scrolling social media and occasionally playing loud music on a video clip. The behavior of Chinese tourists is not the fault of the performers, but it was a significant contributor to the overall experience.

Loved the welcome into the theatre and the costumes were beautiful. Clever use of animated backdrops, projections on scrims and live performance. Loved the rain curtain too. Great storytelling. And then they say goodbye so beautifully. So glad I went.

This is an absolute must for both a cultural and performance arts experience. The whole cast was fantastic and the show was phenomenal. The unique after show experience was also unique and very interactive and memorable. Would highly recommended this to anyone in Luang Prabang.

Absolutely brilliant. Enjoyed every minute of it. Such a colourful and beautiful show and a definite must see in Luang Prabang. Don't try and keep up with the subtitles, just enjoy what's on front of you. Fabulous!

Before we went to the Opera House, we were welcomed by the beautifully dressed dancers. After the dance, a green branch was dipped in a water bowl and our hand was wetted with it. We were enchanted by the varied and very beautiful dances with a very beautiful splendor of colours and beautiful music accompaniment. Picking up from the hotel and returning to the hotel in a tuk-tuk worked flawlessly.

Great efforts and young energy. They put on a good performance. Deserves more audience. Go support the young performers.

Absolutely worth it. Really great show, explaining Buddha’s teachings. Costumes were really nice. 100% recommand.
