We had a great time learning to surf with Mao!! It was the first time surfing for two of us, and all three of us stood up at least once. Mao was super patient and helpful with us noobs. He met us in the parking lot and was prepared for when one of us didn't have a long-sleeve top. Afterwards, he provided us each with an actual coconut that he cut up for us to drink out of and eat. If we're ever back, we will definitely book with him again!!
A fun surf lesson. They provided rash guards which was much needed!

I had an amazing experience taking a surf class in Tamarindo with Mauro. He was very professional, patient, and explained everything clearly, which made me feel comfortable and confident from the very beginning, even as a beginner. Thanks to his tips, I was able to stand up on the board in a short time, which felt incredible. I also really appreciated the personalized attention and how supportive he was throughout the lesson. I highly recommend taking a surf class with him to anyone who wants to learn how to surf or improve their skills. I would definitely do it again!

Mao from Mousehead Surf School in Tamarindo is the best. I spent three days with him and he gave very in depth tips taking me from raw beginner with white water to intermediate level riding greens. Learning how to read the waves before they come. He was very hospitable and very patient. Very personable and very detail oriented. He carried to my specific needs and helped me progress!

We had the best time with Mao and Leo this morning! My husband and 18-year-old son and I had a private lesson and it was absolutely fantastic. They were kind, supportive, informative, helpful and we all were able to get up and enjoyed our lesson. Would absolutely go again with Mao. Very good guide! We met Mao on the beach and we were offered a pretty nice first surf lesson. We was really nice and help us surf our first wave 🌊
Mao was amazing! We brought our four kids to learn to surf for the very first time and everyone including adults were successful by the end! Mao was extremely patient and fun at the same time. Highly recommend! Thanks again Mao!
