Bharti gave us an awesome tour of Dharavi. She really took her time to give us insight into the lives of the people living there. I loved getter to see this side of Mumbai and I would highly recommended this tour to anyone visiting.
Very grateful for the experience and the guided tour by Bharti in Dharavi. The walking tour took about 2 hours and we (2 people) were able to see many workshops, from recycling, sewing, ironing, leather works and pottery. Having already done a city tour in Mumbai (also with Mumbai Moments), seeing and experiencing a different side to Mumbai was very interesting and put many things into perspective. I would definitely recommend this tour and a visit to Dharavi, either if this is a first time visit to Mumbai or if you have visited many times before.
Slum walking tour with Divya was intimate, eye-opening and educational. She is an excellent guide who changed our perspective of slum-life by showing us the unique strength of the community which lives there. Well done to Amish - who founded the company - for his friendly and enthusiast approach. Highly recommended … ask for Divya as your guide!
Amish and his team of guides were wonderful! We did the Dharavi tour, elephanta cave, and laundry tours and all were special and fun in its own way. It was very eye opening to walk through the narrow corridors of the slums, watch as everyone worked together to clean laundry, and look at the beautiful statues in the caves. Each guide was knowledgeable and thorough, I can tell they love their jobs. He took us for fresh chai tea and we smelled the fresh lemongrass and herbs in the cup before they’re mixed in with the chai tea. Such a good time, my boyfriend and I fell in love with Mumbai mainly because of how Amish and his team showed this beautify I’m side of it.
