Our host Dan was on time for pick up. He was very friendly and welcoming and took us through the beautiful Edwardian neighborhood to his home. His house was wonderful as well. We meet his cute dog and his family who were just as friendly. Dan told us some history of London and the food on the menu. We prepped scotch egg, fish & chips, and beef wellington but that’s it. Dan did the cooking. After awhile my husband and I felt a little forgotten about and felt the family members were a little distracting to our experience. I completely understand that it’s their house but we were paying to be there and we were supposed to be having a private class and to hear them loudly talking about their day and what they were going to eat was a little off putting. Overall, the food was good and it was still an experience and I would do it again. It was just different than previous classes we have taken.

Hi Jennifer, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such thoughtful feedback. I’m really pleased that you enjoyed the food, our home and meeting the family – and especially that you’d still do the experience again.
I’m sorry that there were moments when you felt a little forgotten about. The whole idea of the experience is to welcome guests into a real London home, rather than a professional cookery school.
Thank you again for the constructive feedback. It’s genuinely useful and It was a pleasure welcoming you both into our home.

Home away from home but better
Amazing private cooking class and dining experience with fabulous host, Dan, who welcomed us graciously at the door with a glass of sparkling English wine and gin and tonic. Sit at his kitchen table, don your apron and be ready to learn new techniques in cooking as Dan describes not only the history of each dish you prepare but short cuts. The food is fabulous in Dan's quaint dining room. Service extraordinare! Will not disappoint. 7 out of 5 stars!

Cooking with Dan at his home.
An absolutely fantastic evening with Dan, where we learned to cook some classic English dishes. Dan is a lovely host and chef. We even had the pleasure of meeting almost the entire family! It was an unforgettable experience that we highly recommend.

A Must Do While in London - British Cooking Class
Our family of five just attended a cooking class by Dan and Darren. As soon as we met them at the station, it felt like we were with friends. They guided us on a short bus ride and we walked through a beautiful Edwardian neighborhood to the home where we would be cooking. We were encouraged to make ourselves comfortable, and it was obvious they truly meant it. My wife and I believe one of the best ways to learn about an area and its history is to learn about its food, and Dan and Darren did not disappoint, while not going overboard and losing our young adult and teenage kids’ interest. We made delicious scotch eggs, a roast with potatoes, and sticky toffee pudding. Everything was fantastic, and we left positively stuffed! We could not have enjoyed this more! Thank you to Dan and Darren for helping us make a great memory with our family.
