This tour was a wonderful way to experience Cairo beyond the pyramids. Our guide, Salma, truly made the experience exceptional. We loved her. She was engaging, informative, and passionate about Egypt's rich history and culture. Her attention to detail and friendly personality kept the tour interesting from start to finish, and she was always happy to answer our questions. Traveling with my daughter, we felt well looked after throughout the day. Salma's enthusiasm and professionalism made this one of our favorite experiences in Egypt. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a well-rounded Cairo experience.

Today we were in Cairo, again with Ahmed, my tour guide. Beautiful mosques, synagogues, interesting museum, top.

We purchased the all inclusive option which includes lunch at Zeeyara Restaurant. We saw the Citadel and Old Cairo. We didn't see El-moez Street or eat at rooftop Zeeyara Moez restaurant. We were told that lunch would be a koshary or falafel lunch. We disputed this and explained that it was not as advertised. We provided a print out of the itinerary. The communication were being relayed from the tour operator to the tour guide to us and vice versa. The tour operator then asked if we want a buffet at another restaurant, it would be 2,100 EGP. We said no to the buffet, we wish to eat at Zeeyara and we would pay for it ourselves. We were driven to the Zeeyara Elite Pyramids location and were rushed to finish our lunch. It was very uncomfortable situation for the tour guide to be in the middle dealing with this. Avoid this tour operator. It's a scam.

The one full day tour of Coptic and Islamic tour organized by Egypt Gold was a negative experience. First of all, the guide spent almost one hour in a mosque for the Friday prayer while we were waiting outside. The luncheon was a falafel sandwich (less than a $) while the previous days, with different operators, we were having lunch in proper restaurants. We had to pay entrance fees to the mosques and historical buildings although this was supposed to be included in the package. The guide spoke a broken English and spent part of the visit talking to the driver instead of explaining the content of the tour, the program, etc. This was a rip off ( we paid 100 $ for two persons). The only good thing was the talk with the driver, who was kind and efficient.

Big con! Several days before the activity I asked the claimant via the Viator app if he confirmed that he had a French-speaking guide. He never answered. Being too busy with various obligations I was not suspicious. I sent it to customer service if they guaranteed the information provided during the booking, namely the presence of a French speaking guide. The customer service confirmed me. Then, when my card was charged, less than 24 hours before the activity, the claimant sent me a message on my personal whatsApp informing me that he did not have a French-speaking guide. Then nothing, he did not answer my messages, nor did he show up at the hotel at the start time of the activity. I got in touch for 2 hours before the start of the activity with the customer service who did not cancel the trip and did not refund me at present. I'm waiting for them to come back. I am really amazed by the customer service management at Viator. As soon as the provider does not respect the customer in this way, they should automatically refund and exclude this provider from their database. In any case, the claimant did not reply to my messages except to inform me that he did not have a Francophone guide and did not show up at the appointment time. So I won’t let go until I get a full refund.

Doctor Basem is really a perfect guide! He knows a lot of interesting information about the temples and monuments. He is young, dynamic, and friendly. And Marwan is a patient and skilled driver!

The old Cairo / Coptic and Islamic tour was a wonderful and enriching experience. My guide, Mohamed was knowledgeable and made the history of the area come alive, especially at the Citadel, Hanging Church and the Cavern Church. The tour was well-paced, informative, and gave me a deeper appreciation for Egypt’s heritage. Highly recommended

I had a very pleasant experience touring egypt. And muhammad ridwan explained everything about the places that we went. Very much knowledge we got from this tour! We got to see so much historical places… love it!
