I cannot express enough, how amazing meeting and getting to know Istanbul through Eren’s eyes has been. He has made our trip undeniably better and we feel like we are walking away from Istanbul with a new friend, somebody that we hope to stay in touch with for a long long time. His passion about the history and culture of his hometown is admirable and you cannot help but to fall in love with it as well. He makes sure to take you to all of the best quality and best priced stands within the shopping tour. And he is always conscientious of catering to your criteria. Thank you so much friend. Hope to see you soon.
Visiting the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar was such a fun experience! Our guide was super helpful I found everything I was looking for and even discovered places I would have definitely missed on my own. Really thankful for the guidance, it made the whole trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Totally recommend!
I feel like such a fool going on this tour. I booked it for help navigating the bazaar and to make sure I avoided the tourist traps. Instead I was delivered to the tourist traps - with no help to bargain. I ended up paying 65 euro (approx $130 AUD) for a small box of Turkish delight, and felt pressured to buy bags which were so far out of my budget. I was jet lagged and am just kicking myself that I didn’t catch on earlier. On my later travels in Turkiye I learnt that this is often the case with bazaar tour guides and they get a commission for taking you to these tourist traps. It was a really disappointing start to my trip and I would definitely recommend you avoid. The bazaar is also not that confusing so I wouldn’t bother getting a guide. One star only because my guide did seem very nice, shared some history with me, and he did walk me to a good affordable restaurant once I said I was done shopping.
Nice leisurely way to spend our first day in Istanbul. Enjoyed the Egyptian bazaar and local restaurant with Eren
Eren was a fabulous guide! He individualized the tour to our wants and needs. The pace was also perfect for our needs. We weren’t rushed, and had ample time to visit all of the shops that we wanted to. Eren took us to hidden shops, cleaner restrooms, helped us navigate public transportation and assisted with our price negotiations, all while educating us on the beautiful city of Istanbul.
My husband and I joined Eren’s bazaar tour and it was one of the best parts of our trip to Istanbul. The Grand Bazaar can feel overwhelming on your own, but with Eren as our guide, everything became exciting and easy to navigate. He took us to trusted, authentic shops where we bought a stunning carpet and a wonderful selection of spices to take home. The sellers were kind and respectful, and it was clear they had a long-standing relationship with Eren, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. We learned so much about the traditions behind the products and felt confident in every purchase we made. This tour goes beyond shopping—it’s a chance to truly connect with the heart of the city.
We joined Eren’s bazaar tour with a group of friends and had such an amazing time. Eren knows everyone in the markets—it felt like walking around with a local celebrity! He took us to places we would’ve never found on our own, explained the history behind the bazaar culture, and helped us understand the differences in quality, price, and style. The highlight for us was buying a beautiful handmade carpet. Eren was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the selection and bargaining process. We never felt pressured to buy anything, and we left with something truly special and meaningful. It was not just a shopping tour—it was a cultural experience that gave us a deeper connection to Istanbul. Highly recommended!
My boyfriend and I had such a special experience on this private bazaar tour with Eren. He grew up in the heart of the bazaars and took us straight to the most trusted and authentic places—no tourist traps, just real local gems. One of the highlights of our trip was picking out a beautiful carpet together. Eren helped us understand the different styles, materials, and stories behind each piece, and made sure we felt confident and comfortable every step of the way. It wasn’t just shopping—it felt meaningful. Eren’s warm personality, deep knowledge, and genuine care made this tour unforgettable. If you’re visiting Istanbul and want to shop with purpose and heart, this is the tour to book.
I’ve been to Istanbul before and wandered through the Grand Bazaar on my own, but this private shopping tour with Eren completely changed how I experience the city’s markets. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the endless rows of shops or unsure about quality and prices, this tour is exactly what you need. From the moment we met, Eren made me feel like I was shopping with a friend who grew up in the bazaars—because he actually did. He knows everyone. The way shopkeepers greeted him, offered tea, and shared stories gave the experience a whole new layer of depth. We weren’t just browsing; we were stepping into relationships built on trust and years of connection. What I appreciated most was that there was absolutely no pressure to buy. Eren asked me in the beginning what I was interested in—spices, textiles, ceramics, handmade jewelry—and he customized the entire route based on my taste. He explained the origins of the items, how to spot authentic pieces, and even how pricing works. Thanks to him, I felt confident making purchases that I actually love and will keep for years. He also taught me a bit about bargaining—not the pushy kind, but the respectful, traditional way it’s done in Turkish culture. It was fun, and I never once felt out of place or “just another tourist.” I ended up buying a stunning silk scarf and hand-painted bowl, both from family-run businesses I would never have found on my own. One unexpected highlight was when we stepped into a small, hidden carpet workshop. Eren casually introduced me to the owner, who shared the process of how each rug is made, knot by knot. It was like walking into a living museum, but with tea and laughter. No sales pitch—just real passion. By the end of the tour, I had not only purchased a few beautiful items, but I also felt deeply connected to Istanbul’s culture. I learned so much more than I expected, and I didn’t feel exhausted or lost once. Everything was smooth, relaxed, and personal. If you’re looking for a more meaningful, guided, and stress-free way to shop in Istanbul, this tour is absolutely the way to go. It’s not just about buying things—it’s about experiencing the bazaar culture with someone who truly knows and loves it. I left with full bags, a full heart, and a newfound appreciation for the art of Turkish craftsmanship.
Eren turned what could have been a chaotic bazaar trip into a smooth and enjoyable walk. He guided us to beautiful finds and gave us the freedom to explore at our own pace. It was a sweet and memorable experience for the two of us.
