If I could give this 6 stars I would! Hamza and the crew at Riad Niela were fantastic. A highlight of our trip in Morocco, learning the culinary history and cooking method for tajine. Food that we made was delicious and the group environment was very fun. Hamza was a great teacher, helped us personalize our recipes and went above and beyond to give us insight and recipes. He also helped us organize some other activities at the Riad as well. Can't reccomend this experience enough!

The cooking went very well, Hamza is a passionate chef who explains well and a lovely character, a beautiful meeting. We liked this activity in the beautiful signature Riad Nelia. However, viator announces this activity at 10am, but in reality it started at 11am. And normally it's an activity that starts at 12:00, according to what we've been told.

We had a fun afternoon learning about Moroccan food and cooking our own delicious lunch in a traditional riad in the medina. Hamza was a great host and made sure it was a fun and informative session.

We took part in a Moroccan cooking class where we learned how to make a traditional chicken tagine, and then got to sit down and enjoy the meal together afterwards — which was delicious and incredibly rewarding. Our teacher was fantastic: knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about Moroccan cuisine. He explained the differences between various tagines, shared insights into Moroccan food culture, and even gave us a lovely introduction to Moroccan tea, herbs, and their history. It was not just a cooking class, but a fascinating cultural and historical experience as well. Relaxed, informative, and great fun. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Morocco.

We pay 44 euros to cook a single dish. The staff was very friendly but the experience of learning Moroccan cuisine was super poor. Paying that amount to eat a plate of Tajin is a trivia and we pay it.

We were surprised by your description of the experience, as our cooking class is highly appreciated by the vast majority of our guests and participants, who consistently enjoy both the dishes and the cultural learning involved. From the beginning of the class, your attitude was unfortunately unpleasant and at times aggressive toward our staff, despite our team remaining respectful and supportive throughout. The experience is not simply about “eating one dish,” but about learning the full process of traditional Moroccan cooking using fresh ingredients, guided by our chef in an authentic cultural setting.
