すべてを制覇するツアー...... 魔法のようなロード オブ ザ リング 3 部作の撮影場所をチェックし、美しい街を散策することもできます。すべて専門ガイドがご案内します! アウター シャイア、ヘルム峡谷、ミナス ティリス、アイゼンガルド、裂け谷など、さまざまな場所を巡ります。象徴的なシーンを再現し、その途中で素晴らしい景色を楽しみます! ツアーには 90 分間の Weta 洞窟体験が含まれており、Weta ワークショップの舞台裏を見学できます。

集合 私たちの旅は、すべてのゲストを安全に集合させ、私たちの車に乗せることから始まります。 クルーズ船でお越しの場合は、港から直接お迎えに上がります。シャトルバスに乗ったり、市内に向かう必要はありません。私たちは船から降りてすぐにお迎えする資格があります。 ホテルからお迎えの場合は、受付またはすぐ外でフレンドリーなガイドに会えるようにお待ちください。渋滞や人混みで到着が遅れることもありますので、じっとお待ちください。 iSite からお迎えの場合は、iSite のすぐ外/横にあるツアーバス停までお立ち寄りください。車に Ka Rawe の標識があるので、お見逃しなく。すぐにお会いしましょう!
なんと美しい映画館でしょう。歴史もたっぷりです。 エンバシー シアターはコートネイ プレイスの東端、ビクトリア山のふもとにあります。 2003 年 12 月 1 日に『ロード オブ ザ リング 王の帰還』の世界初上映が行われ、国際的な映画界の脚光を浴びました。約 12 万人がコートネイ プレイス沿いのレッド カーペットに並び、上映のために劇場に入場する俳優や映画製作者の行列を見守りました。 また、オーストラリアでは『旅の仲間』と『二つの塔』の初上映も行われました。 2005 年にはピーター ジャクソン監督の『キング コング』のレッド カーペット上映が行われ、2012 年には『ホビット 思いがけない冒険』の世界初上映も行われました。
私たちの美しい街の最高の眺望ポイントをチェックしてください。中央ビジネス地区、港、南の海の息を呑むような 360 度の眺め。素晴らしい！ 伝説によると、ウェリントン港はもともと陸地に囲まれた湖でしたが、2 匹の大きくて活発なタニファ（海の怪物）が生息していました。1 匹のタニファは外海への通路を切り開き、港への入り口を作りました。2 匹目のタニファはワタイタイと名付けられ、別のルートを試みて座礁し、死んでしまいました。タンギテケオ（ビクトリア山）はワタイタイの魂にちなんで名付けられたと考えられています。 おそらくツアーで最高の写真撮影の機会です。ガイド/ホストが喜んでその日の専属カメラマンを務めます。 なんて美しい街でしょう！
ホビットの隠れ家 マウント ビクトリアは、360 度の眺望が楽しめるウェリントン最高の見晴らしのよい場所であるだけでなく、1998 年にロード オブ ザ リング三部作の撮影初日が行われた場所でもあります。 三部作の最も象徴的なシーンのいくつかはここで撮影され、ガイドは三部作の画像を使用してそれらのシーンを生き生きと再現します。 ブラック ライダーから隠れて、バックルベリー フェリーまで素早く移動します。もしかしたら、それらのシーンを再現できるかもしれません...。ガイドは写真を撮るのが大好きです。 ガイドは、ロード オブ ザ リングの専門家によるトレーニングや、何時間も見た舞台裏のドキュメンタリーから得たたくさんの内部情報を教えてくれます! さあ、道路を降りて!
ウェタ洞窟 ニュージーランド固有の昆虫を間近で見るためにここに来たと勘違いしないでください...... ウェタはニュージーランド固有のコオロギのような昆虫ですが、ここウェリントンにある世界的に有名な映画・特殊効果会社の名前でもあります。 ウェタはロード オブ ザ リング 3 部作の素晴らしい作品で最も有名ですが、業界全体への影響はそれだけではありません。 ツアー料金には、ウェタ洞窟の舞台裏を 90 分間見学する体験も含まれます。ガイドがチェックインします。 記念品を購入したり、ミニ博物館に展示されているアイテムをチェックしたり、洞窟のトロールと一緒に写真を撮ったりするチャンスもあります。Ka Rawe では、ガイドが素晴らしい写真家でもあります。 ウェタ ケーブを出て、旅の途中でウェリントンの看板を見に行きました。これはハリウッドの友達が真似した看板です!!
湾の周りを通り市街地に戻ります。ガイドが道中案内をしてくれます。 人気のビーチであり、市内の裕福な中心地としても知られるオリエンタル ベイに向かいます。この辺りは少し値段が高いです。 素晴らしい建築物を見ることができます。おそらく、これが人生で唯一の「人工」ビーチになるでしょう!!? カーター ファウンテンもチェックしてください。 元々は唯一の住人であったジョージ デュッパにちなんでデュッパ ベイと名付けられていましたが、ウェリントンに移住者を最初に連れてきた人の 1 人にちなんでオリエンタル ベイに改名されました。 素晴らしい! 美しい
ハットバレーと採石場 ハットバレー地域へ少し足を延ばします。ここで映画の魔法がさらに生み出されました。 今日では少し様相が異なりますが、ドライクリーク採石場には映画の最も印象的なセットがいくつかありました。信じられないかもしれませんが、ここは壮大なヘルムズ峡谷の戦いが撮影された場所です。 ガイドが映画の歴史的な写真や画像を使ってこれらのシーンを生き生きと再現します。また、この場所に関連する映画のあまり知られていない事実もいくつか教えてくれます。たとえば、ヘルムズ峡谷の戦いで発生した観客の騒音の一部は、撮影当時に行われた国際クリケットの試合から生まれたものだと知っていましたか? 天才的でしょう!!? 念のため、想像力を忘れないでください!

Our tour covered Lord of the Rings and so much more. Sam, our guide, drove and walked us around all the Lord of the Rings sites and the Weta tour. But he also highlighted neighborhoods, Wellington history and events and views. We also enjoyed learning about plants and trees native to New Zealand and Sam’s humor. Made for a fun day.

The full-day LOTR tour with guide-extraordinaire Nathan has been a highlight of my trip to New Zealand. Since tourism is a little slower at this time of year, we ended up on what became a private tour. Nathan was unfailingly knowledgeable, friendly, super organized, and willing to play photographer, making the whole experience seamless and enjoyable. He even took us to an excellent pie shop when we mentioned liking New Zealand pies! And of course, Weta was everything I hoped it would be! I highly recommend this tour for any major or minor LOTR fans - it is an excellent way to not only indulge your LOTR fandom, but also experience and explore Wellington and its surrounding beauty. Thank you Nathan!! You helped to make this trip truly unforgettable!

This is an amazing tour! Our guide, Nathan, was incredibly personable and knowledgeable, providing fascinating insights into the filming of Lord of the Rings, as well as New Zealand and the Māori culture. Seriously, it is the best excursion we have ever taken. Highly recommend!

I thought this tour was awesome! Natalie was wonderful. My only reason for only giving 4 stars was because lunch was at 2:00. That is way to late for lunch when you have dinner plans in the evening. I recommend they move the lunch to an earlier time.
Interesting tour, visited several of the sites where the films were made. Guide was excellent, very familiar with the films and had photos from the film to show us the scenes at each location. Visit to Weta Workshop was fascinating.

We booked this tour as a separate cruise ship excursion and it was excellent right from the custom pick up and drop off at the port to the immersive commentary. Nathan was our guide and he was fantastic! If you’re a Lord of the Rings fan, you can’t go wrong with this tour. Keep in mind, though, that this is a tour of the filming SITES; the movie sets aren’t there anymore, but with the help of photos from the movies and Nathan’s context of how the scenes were shot, you get an extraordinary view into the whole process. The Weta Cave was quite interesting, too. My only comment would be that although we all voted on it, lunch was really rushed because my husband and I were in the first group for the Weta tour so we had 15 minutes to wait in line, order, and eat our food (which was about 5 minutes) before the tour began. The second set of folks had 20 more minutes. But I would very much recommend this tour, especially if you’re a cruise ship passenger. Nathan made sure we kept to schedule and had us back in plenty of time.
