Wonderful walking tour of Garbatella neighborhood of Rome. We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of this beautiful part of the city that we otherwise Iwould not have seen. Our guide was personable, knowledgeable, and really brought the artwork to life with all of its political and social context. The amount of walking was just about right, and the tour of Tor Marancia was absolutely inspiring! Please send me a copy of the book when you find it!!
After seeing all of the typical Roman sites, we chose this tour of street art in the Garbatella & Tor Marancia. It was an informative and interesting way to spend a morning in less visited neighborhoods. The tour consists of 2.5 hours of standing and walking, (with a brief cafe stop) at a gentle pace, so it’s suitable for multiple ages/abilities. Our guide, Ricardo, was fabulous. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to converse with. This is a great tour for when you’ve seen enough antiquities, and want to learn a bit about modern Rome, it’s current culture, art and inhabitants.

The Street Art Tour with Annalisa in Ostiense and Garbatella truly added something special to our Roman holiday experience. The two neighborhoods we visited were historically fascinating (focus on modern history), showcased unique pieces of street art, and offered a glimpse into the authentic everyday lives of Romans today.
