So when booking this, I was expecting a bus / coach to take us around. Little did I know it was a mini van that was the “Bus” for the day. The guide wasn’t particularly detailed with where we were going, what the place was about and the history behind each place. He was more of a glorified Satnav. This journey will take 1hr 30minutes then proceed to fall asleep on the journey to each location… Driver was consistently speeding and overtaking in some questionable areas of the mountain road so I was pleased we made it to each location! Bear Ranch was a complete waste of time and money! If you want to see animal cruelty, that’s the place for you! It was more of a concrete prison for the poor bears as well as the enclosure being dirty. They looked food deprived and honestly sad! I couldn’t stay there any more than 10minutes for two reasons. It was that small it was done it 5minutes plus I couldn’t handle the sad sight of people throwing food at the bears!! So don’t waste 1,000yen getting in as it’s not included in your tour price. Overall worth the money? No. Do I recommend the tour? No. I even got on a train back to Sapporo early because I was bored and frustrated by this point. Such a shame but hopefully this helps people who are planning to book this!

Tour covers alot of area. If you want to see countryside,it is a good trip. Otneu is a tourist trap. Tour guide slept most of trip.

Great full day outing to explore the attractions outside Sapporo in Hokkaido. This includes sightseeing, and access to meals, the bear ranch and Otaru shopping.

Beautiful ride through some of the Hokkaidos nicest parts. The minibus was comfortable, AC just perfect, and the guide spoke English fluently. If there is anything that could be improved is to have a somewhat shorter lunch break at the bear park (maybe 15 min shorter) and use this extra time for a longer stay at the last stop, Otaru, that town was really nice.

Highly recommended! Our guide was very friendly, helpful, and made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. Since the attractions are quite far apart, we spent a fair amount of time on the bus, but it was definitely worth it. The Blue Lake was absolutely beautiful. I only wish we had a bit more time in Noboribetsu so we could have hiked further up the hill and explored more. Overall, it was an excellent trip, and I would highly recommend this tour!

It's an informative and fun tour that teaches you about the history and interesting information on the various locations you visit. We really enjoyed learning more about Hokkaido and seeing the beautiful scenery on the tour. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Our small group of four travelled in a spacious and comfortable van. Each of our four stops was interesting, with Hell Valley and Otaru being the highlights. Our guide was excellent – friendly and knowledgeable. The only minor downside was the limited time at each stop, particularly in Otaru where there are so many shops to explore. Don’t forget to bring cash for lunch and the bear park entrance - they don’t accept credit cards and there are no ATMs there.

All was as advertised, comfortable bus, capable guide, pleasant scenery. Worth doing, but nothing to get excited about.

Great tour taking in plenty of natural beauty in southern Hokkaido. Jay was a great guide - really knowledgable and took good care of the group at every stop - always available to provide tips on where to go, best things to awe and how to avoid the crowds.

Really great tour and Sophia gave us lots of information regarding the sites we went to! She also gave wonderful recommendations of different food to try! Highly recommend!
