I completely understand how the currency difference would have been unexpected and frustrating when booking a New Zealand experience. Unfortunately, this issue is related entirely to the third-party booking platform and is not something we control or have the ability to change. I am disappointed that this continues to create confusion for our customers, including yourself, and we have been actively challenging the platform to provide a resolution. For future travellers, we’d like to clarify that bookings made through Viator/Tripadvisor are processed through their platform, including the currency displayed and charged. Our pricing is provided to Viator in New Zealand dollars (NZD), and we do not have the ability to adjust how their system displays or converts prices. We have raised this matter with Viator on multiple occasions, as we understand the importance of clear pricing when booking. While they have advised they are working on improvements, we will continue to raise this issue with them and advocate for clearer pricing information for our customers. I really appreciate your 5-star review and am grateful that, despite the frustration with the booking process, you still chose to recognise the experience you had with us. We never want our customers to feel frustrated or caught off guard, and I appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as it gives us the opportunity to clarify the situation for other travellers.
