The guide had a lot of information, the car was fine and he was on time. But we weren't lucky enough to see any bears. I know, sometimes that happens. But besides that, I still think it's not worth the price of the tour. You could easily drive up and down yourself. I thought the guides would have a little more knowledge about where to find bears. You don't leave the car for the most part, so you stick to the road. Even the guide's own statement was to rent a bike and cycle in the forest.

Our guide Jeremy was very friendly and gave us lots of informations about Whistler, bears, trees etc. We managed to see a bear which was so exciting!

Our guide, Claude, was excellent. He was courteous, knowledgeable about the bears and their environment. The views from the top of the track were spectacular and it was so peaceful there. The downside is that there is no guarantee of meeting any bears in their habitat. In fact we didn't see any at all until we drove back and saw one by the side of the road behind a barrier.

This was utterly dreadful and complete waste of money. We were stuck in the back of a seven seater Land Rover Defender which were two very primitive seats with no leg room and no view. For an older person getting in and out of these was difficult. We had to sit sideways and therefore seatbelt could not be used. The window at the back of the vehicle was tinted and was fixed so therefore there was no chance of photographs. Most of the trip was on a main highway with all the usual traffic. We went off road once and met the another car from the same company and saw no wildlife whatsoever. After 40 minutes we the discomfort was so excruciating and with nausea setting in we requested to be dropped off at any location. Our hotel kindly picked us up.

The guide was outstanding and we had a very informative tour. We saw a few bears at distance but then drove back to the same spot the following day on our own and saw plenty.

We didnt see any wildlife on the tour and it felt more of a drive round in hope (like we would do in our own vehicle) rather than using expert local knowledge to visit locations where wildlife was likely to gather. Vehicle was comfortable.

We were advised at the start of our tour that there weren't many bears to see this time of year. You should be made aware that there is little chance of seeing bears when you go to book at certain times of the year.

Advised by the guide that there are not many bears around this time of year. This was a very expensive drive in the woods!!

We booked this tour for a group of five during a short stay in Whistler. Pickup was punctual, the Land Rover Defender was comfortable, and, as the only group in the vehicle, we effectively had a private tour. Our guide was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any bears. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, and we certainly don’t hold our guide responsible for that. Our reservations were more about the overall experience and whether it justified the $600 cost. The route followed public roads close to Whistler, with no exclusive access to areas unavailable to other visitors. That isn’t necessarily a drawback, but it is worth knowing when deciding whether to book. As the tour progressed without any bear sightings, our guide tried to keep things interesting with some off-road driving, a small suspension bridge over a river, and stops to observe smaller details, including a spider’s web. We appreciated the effort, although these didn’t feel like a particularly substantial alternative to the main attraction. We also hoped for more in-depth information about bears and their habitat. On other wildlife tours, including whale watching, knowledgeable naturalist guides have added a great deal to the experience, regardless of what we saw. Here, the commentary felt fairly basic for a tour at this price. That evening, we drove the same route in our hire car and were fortunate enough to see a black bear just a few metres away. This was clearly a matter of luck, but it reinforced our feeling that the tour’s value needed to come from the guide’s expertise as much as the opportunity for a sighting. Overall, we appreciated the friendly service and comfortable transport, but the depth of the guided experience fell short of our expectations for the price.

It was a nice tour, and you got information about bears during the tour. Unfortunately, I did not see any bears during the tour.
