I had a great time and it was definitely a highlight of my trip! I would recommend the 4 hr over the 2 hr experience because then you’ll have more time to have fun at the beach after the pig experience. Remember to bring cash for the jet ski and banana boat activities. Also bring swimming shoes in case there are rocks. Overall the tour guides were very prompt with the departure time and return time. I thought the pig poop would be a deterrent but the guides were cleaning as they did it so it wasn’t bad. The snorkeling and the free rum punch on the island were great additions to the experience!
What an incredible time!! The pigs were amazing and we got to hold a baby pig!! Beach, rum punch, and snorkeling was fantastic
We had a solid time on the Nassau Swimming Pigs, Snorkeling, Lunch & Private Beach Club excursion! Figuring out our own transportation to the meeting spot was a bit annoying at first, but honestly, it ended up working out in our favor because it gave us some extra time to squeeze in souvenir shopping right after. The tour itself had a lot to offer. Seeing and feeding the pigs on Atholl Island was definitely a cool experience, but for us, the snorkeling stole the show! Swimming with all the vibrant fish in the clear water was even better than expected and made the excursion totally worth it. The private beach setup was super relaxing with plenty of lounge chairs, fun games, and great views. I will say, the rum punch was amazingly good—though it was served warm, which was a little unexpected! An icy-cold cup would have made it perfect, but the flavor was definitely on point. Overall, despite a couple of tiny bumps, it was a really fun adventure and a memorable day in Nassau!
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're delighted to hear that you had a great time and that the snorkeling exceeded your expectations. It's always wonderful to hear when guests enjoy both the swimming pigs experience and the beautiful marine life around Nassau. We also appreciate your comments regarding transportation to the meeting point and the temperature of the rum punch. Feedback like this helps us continue to improve. Thank you again for joining us. We're so pleased that, despite a couple of minor inconveniences, your day at Mansa Bay was a memorable one. We hope to welcome you back on your next visit to The Bahamas!
I’m gonna first start out by saying it truly was amazing the staff at the boat place and with swimming with the pigs was also amazing but our adventure was supposed to be 1-5 they were having boat trouble which I totally understand things happen that was fine so now we leave it at 2 we go see the pigs and then by 4 o’clock we’re back at the boat place. It was over and we were supposed to snorkel. I heard another member in our group ask what about the snorkeling and they said we had to save somebody earlier, so we don’t wanna have to go through that again I was disappointed. I was looking forward to snorkeling, and they didn’t even offer that to us and then basically our adventure was only an hour and a half with the pigs because the boat ride was 20 minutes there 20 minutes back.. and the jet boat place did give us a free mug for starting out late which I was thankful for and that was very nice, but I really wanted to do the snorkeling 😔. Overall, I still had an amazing time and I still give it a five star you definitely still have to do it.
Thank you so much for your kind words about our staff and for your understanding. We're delighted to hear that you still had an amazing time despite the changes to the itinerary. We would like to clarify that the delay that day was related to weather conditions rather than mechanical issues. Unfortunately, the weather also contributed to increasingly strong currents at our snorkeling location. During an earlier tour, several guests were caught in the current and had to be assisted back to the boat. By the time your tour departed, the current had strengthened significantly, and we made the decision not to proceed with snorkeling because we simply didn't want to put our guests at risk. We also sincerely apologize for the breakdown in communication. Our regular captain was unavailable that day, and we were operating with a fill-in captain and crew who were not yet fully familiar with all of our normal procedures and communication protocols. We understand how disappointing it must have been to expect snorkeling and not receive a clear explanation at the time. Under normal circumstances, we would have extended your experience to make up for the delayed departure. Unfortunately, many of the guests on that tour were cruise passengers with strict onboard times, which prevented us from adding additional time that day. We truly appreciate your patience, your five-star review, and your recommendation. We hope we'll have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide you with the complete experience, including the snorkeling adventure you were looking forward to.
booked this excursion with our three children and were really looking forward to a fun day in the Bahamas. While we did enjoy parts of the beach, the overall experience was extremely disappointing, especially because of what happened during the snorkeling portion. When we were given our snorkeling equipment, there was no proper safety briefing, no discussion about the strength of the current, and no explanation of what to do if someone got into trouble. We were essentially told to get in. The moment I entered the water, I realized how strong the current was and immediately took my younger daughter back onto the boat. She was absolutely terrified and cried the entire ride back. Unfortunately, several other guests were carried far away from the boat and were clearly struggling. The crew's response was very concerning. People were being told to "keep kicking" and "float on your back." I had to ask why they couldn't radio for assistance or use one of the jet skis to help. Thankfully, a local boat eventually stopped and helped the people who were struggling. What was most upsetting was that afterward, there was no acknowledgment of how serious the situation had been and no thank-you to those who helped. We were simply told to have a great rest of our day in the Bahamas. I contacted the company afterward, and I will give credit to the CEO for personally responding. He acknowledged that their required safety procedures—including a safety briefing, assessing the current, and proper supervision—were not followed that day and said they were reviewing the incident. We did enjoy parts of the beach, but calling it a "private beach" was somewhat misleading. There were so many boats from different tour companies coming in that finding a beach chair became a competition, and it didn't feel particularly private or relaxing. They offered us a complimentary future excursion, which I declined. After this experience, I would not feel comfortable putting my family in that situation again.
First and foremost, I would like to sincerely thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. I also appreciate you recognizing that I responded personally and that we took your concerns seriously. The day of your excursion was certainly not representative of our normal operation. One of our captains was out sick, while two of our senior captains were out of the country bringing another vessel back to Nassau to expand our fleet. This is not an excuse for the breakdown in communication that occurred, but after reviewing the incident internally, we believe that having a fill-in captain contributed significantly to the situation. We are confident that this sequence of events would have been handled differently under our normal operating procedures. That said, after a thorough review, I can assure you that none of the guests involved were ever in immediate danger. Every guest is fitted with a life vest before participating in the snorkeling portion of the excursion specifically for situations such as this. Although it is uncommon, there are occasions when currents can carry guests beyond the intended snorkeling area with very little warning. In some areas, the movement of the water is not always visible, which can make the current appear much calmer than it actually is. Because the snorkeling vessel operates with a two-person crew, the safest and most efficient retrieval procedure in these circumstances is often to first ensure that all remaining guests are safely back on board before lifting the anchor and repositioning the vessel. Our crew believed that the guests involved were capable of returning to the boat under their own power and were attempting to provide instructions to help them do so safely. We completely understand, however, that from your perspective the situation appeared chaotic and frightening, especially with your children present. While we remain confident that the required safety equipment prevented anyone from being placed in harm's way, we also recognize that more should have been done to explain what was happening, communicate with guests more effectively, acknowledge the seriousness of the situation, and show greater empathy for those who were understandably distressed. We have already reviewed this incident with our team and have reinforced the importance of our established safety procedures, including pre-snorkeling safety briefings, current assessments, clear communication, and guest supervision. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. Feedback such as yours allows us to identify areas where we can improve and ensure that situations like this are handled more effectively in the future.
Great day with a scenic boat ride, beach time, swimming pigs, and snorkeling! It was a nice option while we were in Nassau for the day on our cruise.
Incredible experience and day. We brought water shoes and towels. Everything else was taken care of for us. Highly recommend! Thank yall for a great day.
We had a great time overall! I would recommended an early group outing time if possible! Feeding the pigs was something fun we had never done before! The beach, floating fun & snorkeling was all good!!
We arrived 15 minutes before the start time, filled out the waivers, selected our lunch orders, we helped ourselves to the rum punch and waited with a group of others. We waited a very long time, about 40 to 45 minutes and eventually were met with apologies for the delay and free insulated cups to make up for the delays. There were a group of people from the cruise ships and needed to get back so they needed to rush. We boarded a covered boat and drove past a couple of tourist spots and eventually ended at the beach. The small private beach was crowded when we arrived, but most of them left shortly and we had the beach to ourselves. After a short safety briefing the pigs were released. They swam up fo us as we held out chicken hot dogs (we were assured) and apples on skewers. The pigs were great. Friendly and hungry! We ended up on the beach with the pigs because water was rather choppy. Too choppy for any water activities, like the "kayak" that filled with water and we flipped over. No one from the staff saw or cared and other guests helped us make our way back to shore. While we fed the pigs, our lunch was made and we sat and ate. Food was okay. Got a little cold by the time we ate. Eventually we boarded the boat again and went back to the port where we started. Some guests asked about snorkeling and they said the water was too rough but they never made an announcement. I think they just ran out of time due to the delayed start but who really knows. They didn't tell us anything.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed interacting with our swimming pigs, and we sincerely apologize for the delayed departure. Unfortunately, sea conditions that day were much rougher than normal. While we always aim to provide all advertised activities, snorkeling and certain water activities cannot safely operate when conditions become too rough. The decision not to snorkel was based entirely on safety and was not because we had run out of time. We do want to clarify that whenever snorkeling or another activity has to be cancelled, our team makes an announcement to inform guests. It is possible that the announcement was made while you were in the water, participating in another activity, or otherwise away from the main group and unfortunately missed it. Nevertheless, we understand how frustrating it can be to feel unsure about what is happening, and we will continue encouraging our team to make these announcements as clearly and repeatedly as possible. We are also concerned to hear about your experience with the kayak. Our staff should always be attentive to guests participating in water activities, and we will be reviewing this with our beach team. Regarding the delayed departure, we appreciate your patience and were glad to provide complimentary insulated cups to everyone as a small gesture for the inconvenience. We also take the return times of our cruise guests extremely seriously. Thank you again for your feedback and for visiting Mansa Bay. We’re especially glad to hear that the pigs were a highlight and that you found them friendly and enjoyable!
All professionally coordinated, friendly captain, guide and support team! Memorable activity for the family, and they offer a condensed version for those on limited time. If you can do it though, take the 4 hour tour!
